Local News - This Saturday Auction, Poker, and Harley Quinn chance drawing! Howdy! This Saturday October 28th we will be hosting another No Minimum Bid Auction at our Jason Street Mega Store. We have 100's of toys, comics, prints, statues, and graphic novels being offered during this auction starting at 12:00 (Noon) on Saturday. Our auctions are always fun and enjoyable, and I personally guarantee that no one goes home without some awesome bargains! The game begins at 11 AM, and features $1,000 in Mile High Comics gift certificates as prizes. It costs $25 to play, but that cost is immediately rebated back to those who register in advance (by close of business on Friday) via a complimentary $25 Mile High Comics gift certificate. All proceeds from the tournament and the refreshment stand will be donated to the White Rose Scholarship Fund, which helps deserving Colorado students to pay their tuition. We had 82 players in our last tournament! Poker Flyer Another reason to stop by one of our stores on Saturday is that we are going to be giving away HALLOWEENFEST variant editions. These mini-comics are created by the publishers specifically to be given away by comics retailers as Halloween treats. While we mostly order these cool little comics for kids, we do also order a few extras for our adult fans who want to keep their variant collections complete. You can receive three free HALLOWEENFEST comics at any of our stores on Saturday just for showing up. Three more free if you dress in costume! This offer is valid on Saturday, only. The winner will receive the option of choosing either a $1,000.00 Mile High Comics shopping spree, or a life-size HARLEY QUINN statue (MSRP $1,995.00)! Tickets are only $5 each or 5/$20. All proceeds will be donated to purchase small Christmas presents for the 250 kids currently being helped at Rainbow Alley, our local LGBT youth safehouse.
