Marvel Silver Age 40% Off

Howdy!

I want to begin today by saluting our Mile High Comics team members who have been working to create our new "Ocean of Comics" in our Jason St. Mega-Store. Thanks to their hard work and diligence, we have been able to build for you an array of 150,000+ back issue comics, all sorted into one immense alpha-numeric system. This is in addition to the 100,000+ pre-1985 comics that we already had on display for you in our Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age pavilion. If passing anywhere near Colorado is in your future travel plans, I highly encourage you to take the time to visit our Jason St. Mega-Store, in central Denver. We now have more back issue comics available for you in this one huge comics shop, than you could find at all the booths (combined) in most comics conventions.

Ocean of Comics at Jason St. Mega-Store

On a related note, I also wanted to pass on to you that we are now stocking quite a few comics in the Mega-Store that are currently sold out on our website. This development came about not because we are seeking to deprive our online clients of opportunities, but rather because we now have two completely independent inventory teams, both working on grading portions of our stash of one million unsorted comics. Pam's team is sorting 10,000+ comics a week specifically for our online sales, while Chris Lanham now has his own Jason St. crew adding daily to our in-store "Ocean of Comics." Simply put, with our purchasing more great comics collections nearly every day, I see us running two completely independent inventory crews as a very positive win-win situation for everyone.

Speaking of buying collections, I closed on that deal for the 6,500 pre-1985 comics that I mentioned in Wednesday's newsletter, and those issues are scheduled to arrive in Denver on Monday. I am not certain that Will and Pam will be able to start grading them any time soon, however, as they are still grading large numbers of issues from other collections. As a case in point, Pam purchased a particularly nice high grade Silver Age Marvel collection here locally last week. Some of those issues sold as quickly as she added them to our website, but many remain available for you to buy. Silver Age titles where Pam has added multiple issues over the past week include:

AVENGERS (1963)
CAPTAIN AMERICA (1968)
CAPTAIN MARVEL (1968)
DAREDEVIL (1964)
FANTASTIC FOUR (1961)
HULK (1962)
IRON MAN (1968)
MARVEL SPOTLIGHT (1971)
MARVEL TALES (1964)
MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972)
NOT BRAND ECCH! (1967)
POWERMAN/IRON FIST (1972)
SHIELD (1968)
SILVER SURFER (1968)
SPIDER-MAN (1963)
THOR (1962)
X-MEN (1963)

Plus a slew of smaller titles, one-shots, and annuals. See this week's New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links for listings of all the issues that Pam added for you. All of those older issues are eligible for the full discount provided by the 40% off MORECOMICS! codeword sale that we currently have in effect for you.

Thor #1 Mile High

In other news, our pre-orders are coming in heavier than expected for our upcoming Mile High Comics variant edition of THOR (2014) #1. Marvel is still not releasing any information about the new female THOR, but rather than hurting their cause, this uncertainty seems to be adding to the frenzy. Whatever the case may be, you can still pre-order our upcoming THOR (2014) #1 Mile High Comics variant edition for $14.95 a copy (limit 5). Call Greg or Mario in our subscription division (weekdays 9-5) or write to them at nice@milehighcomics .com. Our variant is limited to only 3,000 copies, which is the minimum that Marvel will agree to print...

Harley Quinn: Future's End #1

My final news item for today is a giveaway offer on the upcoming lenticular version of HARLEY QUINN: FUTURE'S END #1. Releasing next Wednesday, you can ask for a free copy from us if you place any minimum $40 order over the next couple of days. Request your copy in the "notes" section of our online order form. To qualify, orders must meet the minimum requirement after all discounts have been applied, including our 40% off MORECOMICS! codeword discount. All of our previous HARLEY QUINN giveaways disappeared rather quickly, so I urge you to place an order with us right away if you would like to guarantee your receiving your free copy of HARLEY QUINN: FUTURE'S END #1.

Happy Collecting!
