50% Off LABORDAY Comics Sale Begins

Howdy!

Avengers #27
As I have made my habit over the last few weeks, I spent much of this past weekend working at our new Jason St. Mega-Store. My efforts were greatly rewarded, as not only did the store set a new record for weekend walk-in sales, but I was also able to spend several very productive hours sorting pallets of comics in the back room. As a direct result, I was able to locate over 3,500 great comics, books, and magazines that we needed immediately for inclusion in our online inventory.

If you take a look at today's New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links on our website, you will already see some of the benefits that are accruing to you as a direct result of our having opened Jason St. For starters, there are the early WITCHBLADE, DARKNESS, and DEADPOOL comics that we purchased at the store from a private collector on Friday. Then there are over 500 Silver Age and Bronze Age comics from yet another collection, plus 300 scarce newsstand editions of older Marvel and DC titles. Finally, thanks to my uncovering a "lost" pallet, we were able to just add a substantial number of hard-to-find recent back issues (spanning the past 2 years) that I purchased in a warehouse deal on the East Coast in June.

It may also interest you to know that, aside from all of the obvious benefits of the extra room in Jason St. (as opposed to the claustrophobic conditions in our old Fox St. buildings...), Jason has also energized all of Mile High Comics in ways that we really didn't envision when we first considered opening the store. I cannot even begin to express to you, for example, how gratifying it is to be able to give our out-of-town visitors an actual visual sense of the magnitude of our website offerings. Simply put, it is one thing for me to write in one of these newsletters that we offer more than 400,000 different options of comics, books, and magazines on our website, and quite another for us to be able to display even half of those items listed on our website in a single huge room. All other considerations aside, I am certain that the incredibly positive word-of-mouth that we are presently receiving is precisely why our walk-in traffic at Jason St. is growing so exponentially right now...

Avengers #27
All of the above having been said, another great benefit for those of you who shop with us online is that the creation of Jason St. will allow us to implement our steep discount online sales faster. Today, for example, I am already going to commence our annual 50% off LABORDAY sale on all of our back issue comics and magazines. Because of concerns about excessively depleting our website inventory with too many steep discounts, I had previously planned to not begin this year's LABORDAY sale until this upcoming Friday. Thanks to all the great comics, magazines, and books that we are now being able to add to our online inventories from Jason St., however, my inventory depletion concerns have been significantly allayed.

What this change means for you is that all of the back issues on our website are on sale for you at half price right now (!) when you simply type LABORDAY into the "discount code" line on our online order form. This new sale does not include comics from the past year, or our CGC-graded comics, but the vast majority of the issues listed in today's New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links ARE included at half price when you utilize the new LABORDAY codeword. Non-comics items and books are also excluded from this sale, but all 250,000+ of our backlist trade paperbacks and hardbacks are already priced for you at 40% off, right on our website, including the huge shipment of DC Comics trade paperbacks and hardbacks that we just received on Wednesday. Enjoy!

Uncanny
X-Men #14
My final item for today is to offer you six more of the recent AVENGERS VS X-MEN crossover issues, entirely for free. You can receive any one of the following six comics at no charge, by simply placing any minimum $20 order with us over the next three days, and then requesting your choice in the "notes" section of our online order form. If you are planning to place a larger order, you can request one more choice for each $20 increment of your order, or all six of today's crossover issues as a reward for a $100 order. AVENGERS VS X-MEN looks to be the seminal point for what may be a major reorganization of the entire Marvel Universe, so all of these issues may well turn out to be quite important...
