50% Off Sale 200,000+ Comics Trade Paperbacks

Howdy!

I want to begin today's newsletter by letting you know that all 200,000+ of the backlist trade paperbacks listed on our website right now have been marked to half price! As any of the comics dealers who visited our huge Jason St. Mega-Store can attest, we have (by far...) the largest inventory of backlist trade paperbacks in the entire comics world. Our 50,000+ backlist comics-related hardback collections are also on sale for you right now, with most being marked 40% off.

Just a Few of Our 200,000+ Books!

In addition to all of our backlist books being marked down, we also have a 30% off AWESOME! codeword sale in effect for you on all ten million of our back list comics and magazines. Just type AWESOME! into the discount code line on our order form, and our computer will automatically apply a whopping 30% discount for you on all your qualifying items. Only new comics, books, a few variants, and our CGC-graded comics are excluded from this huge systemwide sale.

Free shipping is also still available to you on any domestic order over $40, or any International order over $100. Please do bear in mind, however, that even if you achieve entirely free shipping on the comics portion of your order, we will still have to add small surcharges to any order containing trade paperbacks and/or hardbacks, to cover a portion of the cost of their extra shipping weight.

I am now going to offer you a 1987 TMNT Vol. 5 collected trade paperback as a bonus book item. Place any minimum $125 order with us, and you can request one of these rare books in the "Notes" section of our order form be included as a freebie with your next order. This offer is strictly limited to just sixteen books, however, as that is almost all of the copies that I located in a long-lost box in the back of our main warehouse. Previous to my finding that lost stash, we had been sold out on this scarce book for quite some time...

TMNT Collected Book GN (1989) #5

I now have an incredible offer for those of you who are high rollers, and who are passionate about art. Three years ago, my longtime friend, Dennis Wakabyashi, passed away. Among his many other accomplishments, Dennis was the founder of MIDDLE EARTH, the legendary Denver-based art portfolio publishing house. MIDDLE EARTH is best remembered for two incredible portfolios: LORD OF THE RINGS by Frank Frazetta, and the TUPENNY by Barry Smith. Both of those 1974/1975 portfolios are highly collectible, and much sought-after. We had a couple of later numbers that we offered for sale that were also from Dennis' estate, and they sold out within hours.

What few people know, however, is that Dennis and his partner, Jim Allen, split the earliest numbers of each portfolio that they published. As a result, Jim ended up with the TUPENNY #1/1000 (image upon request), and Dennis retained the LORD OF THE RINGS #1/1000. After they both passed away, I was delighted to be able to unite the set under one ownership for the first time, ever.

Matched Set of Middle Earth Portfolios

All of the above having been said, I am now past 60, and have been encouraged by members of my family to start giving some serious thoughts to my estate planning. I own many thousands of cool collectibles, and quite frankly, my girls are intimidated by the prospect of having to sell my coolest treasures without me to help. As a result, I have (very reluctantly...) decided to begin parting with some of the choice pieces from my own personal collection. My asking price for this absolutely unique matched set of MIDDLE EARTH portfolios is $7,500.00. If they do not sell immediately as a set, I will entertain offers for them individually, but please bear in mind that I am in no particular hurry to sell them. I have plenty of other cool items to offer you over the next few weeks...

Lord of the Rings Signed Plate

I will close today's newsletter with a much more affordable way to own a signed Frank Frazetta LORD OF THE RINGS print. Simply put, when I purchased his artwork collection, Dennis also passed on to me six autographed Frazetta plates that constituted a slight overrun from the original 1,000 edition of the portfolio. Whoever had sent unsigned 1st plates of the portfolio to Frank for his signature had miscounted, and accidentally sent him six too many. Frank went ahead and signed them anyway, and Dennis held on to them for 36 years. If you would like to add one of these six LORD OF THE RINGS plates signed by Frank Frazetta to your collection, I'm letting them go for the very reasonable price of only $200 each. Now that he has passed, I doubt very much if you could find a Frazetta autograph anywhere else, for any less.

Signed Plate

Happy Collecting!
