Free STAR WARS (2015) #1

Howdy!

Just in case you missed their weekend press releases, Disney announced that they will be spending two billion dollars (!) over the next five years to construct entirely new Star Wars amusement parks in Anaheim, and in Orlando. I mention this fact because I think that it speaks directly to the incredible degree of emphasis that Disney is going to place on marketing their Star Wars franchise. We were already aware that they have five (or maybe six?) new Star Wars films on tap over the next 60 months, but this theme park announcement is clearly throwing gasoline on a fire. Unless Disney figures out some way to screw this up. Star Wars is going to be THE pop culture phenomena of the next decade.

Star Wars #8 Mile High Variant

The previous having been said, I want to reiterate my belief that the recent release of STAR WARS #1 (2015) from Marvel Comics has many parallels to the founding of the Marvel Universe. Simply put, I think that Disney is going to manage their Star Wars franchise in such a way to own an entire generation of young people, much in the way that Stan Lee captured the hearts and minds of innumerable Baby Boomers. In all honesty, we have already seen the Marvel Star Wars titles surging in popularity to such an extent that we are now of the belief that the Star Wars titles could, in the not too distant future, eclipse the sales of the entire Marvel superhero line. If you doubt my theory, just take one look at the top-selling Marvel titles from the past two months. The new Star Wars titles totally dominate...

Star Wars #7 Mile High Variant

Where I am going with this thread is to offer you one last chance to pick up some of the very scarcest of the new Marvel Star Wars comics at our current asking prices. At the end of this newsletter you will find the very extensive listing of all of the Marvel Star Wars editions that we still have in stock, with a special emphasis on the extremely low print run later editions of each issue. I personally made the decision to invest more heavily in these rare later editions than any other comics retailer in the world, and I am growing increasingly confident about the wisdom of my six-figure commitment. That been said, many of our scarcer variants have been trickling out at an alarming pace, and I have come to the realization that, at our current prices, that we will completely run out of some issues before the first of the new Star Wars films releases on December 18th.

Star Wars #1 1st Print

With that steady depletion of our remaining supplies firmly in mind, below is a listing of all of the Marvel Star Wars titles, numbers, and variants that we currently have remaining in stock. Supplies on several of these variants are already quite low, however, so we need to request a limit of no more than three copies on any single issue. These prices will also only remain in effect for you until Monday, August 24th, at noon. On the flip side, I did recently manage to negotiate the purchase (from another comics dealer) of 100 copies of the Marvel STAR WARS (2015) #1 (First Printing). If you place any minimum $50 order via our website over this next week (for Star Wars comics, or anything else...), you can request that a free copy of #1 be included in your order at no charge in the "notes" section of our online order form.

If you do not already have a STAR WARS (2015) #1 (First Printing) in your collection, I strongly suggest that you really might take advantage of this golden opportunity to pick up a free copy.

Happy Collecting!
