STAR WARS #34 Arrives, Plus DETECTIVE, CONAN, STAR TREK, More... Howdy! After ten days of vacation in Santa Fe, I am back in Denver today to help our team to put together our final talley of comics, books, and toys that we lost to the massive hailstorm that we experienced at Jason St. on May 8th. It has taken forever to get this all pulled together, in some measure because I have been traveling, but also because we had 72! skylights that shattered. It took me well over 100 man-hours to find all the hidden nooks and crannies where all that damn rainwater intruded, and also where the giant hailstones melted. In total, we lost about $300,000.00 in retail product. Sigh... If I don't have to do this again anytime soon, that would be just fine by me. CONAN #24 In other news, our purchasing of collections of comics and books continues unabated. Today's Premium New-In-Stock contains a nice run of Barry Smith CONAN #5-#24 issues, an excellent grouping of BRAVE AND THE BOLD (1955) starting with issues #20, DETECTIVE COMICS (1937) beginning with #436, CREEPY ARCHIVES HC's, SPAWN TPB's, STAR TREK TPB's, and much more. Both Will and Pam are buried in great material that needs to be graded and added, but hardly an hour passes that we do not purchase even more. We may need to hire more staff... BRAVE AND THE BOLD #20 If you would like to obtain particularly scarce comics, magazines, and books to your personal collection, I strongly advise keeping an eye on our daily New-In-Stock link, rather than in the pricier Premium New-In-Stock links when they post each morning at about 11 AM. We are obtaining quite a bit of extraordinarily scarce material right now, but more than a few of these scarcer issues sell within 24 hours of listing.
