Free Drawing for WOLVERINE and
GRIMM FAIRY TALES Sketches

I have to eat a little bit of crow today, as the seemingly easy renumbering of our website turned out to be vastly more complicated than we originally estimated. The information that I provided you in Monday's newsletter about the success of our internal renumbering of all of the individual items listed in our immense database was completely accurate. Our website has been in operation nearly seamlessly ever since we began the renumbering program (which was urgently needed to allow us to increase the number of titles in our database), on Friday afternoon.

Where events took on a life of their own, however, was as regards our cover scans and other images. It turns out that the remapping program that assigns the new internal inventory number to each scan that we have stored in our image server takes a full day to run, and has to be run at least five times to renumber all one million+ of our website images. As of this moment, our thumbnail (very small) website images have been restored to our online listings through "R," with a projected completion of all thumbnails at midnight. We will then begin restoring the medium-sized scans, with the renumbering of our larger scans to follow later in the week. We are guessing at this point that our website be back to 100% sometime over this upcoming weekend.

In the meantime, I am going to offer everyone who shops with us a special incentive to place orders with us over the next five days, even though not all of our website cover images are available. Simply put, I am going to hold a drawing next Wednesday here in Denver, where the winner is allowed to pick their choice of one, of two, great sketches. The first is a WOLVERINE sketch by world-renown Independent comics artist Rich Koslowski, and the second is an incredible GRIMM FAIRY TALES sketch by Eric Basaldua

The details as regards this drawing are very simple. Place any order with us for $20, or more, over the next five days, and you name will be entered into the drawing once. For each additional $20 increment of your order, your name will be added another time. You must, however, ASK for your name to be entered in the drawing, in the "notes" section of our online order form. You can also enter your name in this drawing (once only, please...) with no purchase requirement by sending your request to Byron at back_issue@milehighcomics.com. I wish you good luck in this drawing, as these are two exceptionally cool sketches. Whichever one you were to choose, you would be making a great addition to your collection...

Speaking of drawings, I did want to mention that one of your fellow online buyers, Steven of Australia was the winner of the drawing that we held in June for that VG copy of AVENGERS (1963) #1. It may seem that your odds of winning one of our giveaways are very long, but we are anticipating fewer than 500 entries in this weekend's drawing, so your odds of winning your choice of the two sketches are considerably better than you might otherwise believe.

My final item for today is an extension of the conclusion of our 60% off HELPHEAL benefit sale to next Monday, at noon. While the HELPHEAL codeword discount does not apply to new comics, CGC-graded issues, non-comics items, or books, all orders received that utilize HELPHEAL in any way will have 10% of the entire net proceeds of that order donated to GivingFirst.org, a fund that was created to help the victims of last week's shootings here in Colorado. Many thanks to the hundreds of you who have already designated that a part of you order be donated to this very worthy cause...

Happy Collecting!
