Upcoming Comics Auction and Poker Tournament News Howdy! Response to yesterday's newsletter has been excellent, with a number of avid comics fans already having stopped by our Jason St. Mega-Store to browse through our huge San Diego display of 94,000+ back issue comics. San Diego Comic Con Booth While those first few fans did buy a few back issues from our Comic-Con display, I can assure you that they did not make even a tiny dent in our overall selection. It might also interest you to know that we are already expanding our Comic-Con inventory even further. Our Jason St. sorting team has already hand-selected over 1,000 back issues, with our goal being to add at least 20,000 (!) more comics into our convention display before it leaves on September 23rd for the Salt Lake Comic-Con. In the meantime, however, this entire wonderful selection of cool comics will be available to you. Past Auction at Jason St. Mega-Store In other news, we have scheduled an auction of back issue comics, toys, posters, statues, and Underground Comix for a week from Saturday, July 25th, starting at 11:30 AM. This auction is going to be very special, as it will include a great many of the toys and books that we inherited from our former Littleton retail store. Photos will be up on our Facebook page early next week. Winners from Last Poker Game My final item for today is a quick mention that our next Mile High Comics Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 1st, at our Jason St. Mega-Store. This tournament will be a benefit for Urban Peak, an wonderful organization that helps homeless teens. Buy in will be $25, with the winner receiving a very cool trophy, plus a $1,000 Mile High Comics gift certificate as first prize. We had 60 players in our last charity tournament, and it was an amazingly fun event! You can reserve your seat in this game by leaving your $25 deposit at any Mile High Comics location.
