LOCAL NEWS - Poker Game Saturday - 2 Huge New Silver Age Collections Arrive Howdy! Our awesome summer Mile High Comics Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament is set for this Saturday morning, beginning at 11 AM. If you have ever wanted to experience the fun and excitement of tournament play, our friendly games are a wonderful place to begin. Our entry fee is only $25, for which you will be immediately reimbursed via a $25 Mile High Comics gift certificate as long as you register at any of our stores at least a day in advance. You may also register on the morning of the game, but no certificates will be issued. Everyone is welcome to play! POKER FLYER In case you are wondering, Mile High Comics sponsors these poker games, and donates all of the prizes, as a part of our community outreach program. All the funds we generate from our poker games are donated to the Imperial Court of the Rocky Empire (a registered 501-C3 umbrella organization) with most of those funds then immediately passed on to our chosen charity of the day. Saturday's game is a benefit for Rainbow Alley, a wonderful organization which provides counselors who help Denver's LGBTQ teens deal with life-threatening issues such as homelessness, bullying, and severe depression. They are exceptionally good people. My only other bit of news for today is a quick mention that we are in the process of adding two immense collections of high grade comics into the inventory of our Jason St. Mega-Store. If you look at our Premium New-In-Stock link for this past week, I think that you will be blown away at the diversity of great older comics that we just acquired. In addition, we have also added 8,000+ highly desirable modern issues into the 50+ metal drawer cabinets that comprise our huge convention booth. That entire booth will be packed up on Friday morning for shipment to San Diego, however, so if you would like an opportunity a to score any of these awesome modern issues before they leave for next week's convention, you will need to visit Jason St. by Thursday afternoon.
