Half Price Trade Paperbacks and Hardbacks - This weekend Only Howdy! I am one tired puppy today, as we are in the final throes of packing our huge 53' semi-trailer for shipment to next week's San Diego Comic-Con International. We are sending a record number of back issue comics and books to the convention this year, with a completely redesigned booth. I am not at all certain that all of our plans for our convention display are going to work out as planned, but at this point the truck for the convention is already idling in our loading dock, so we are simply out of time. Wish us luck. Another factor that is contributing to my weariness today is that I had to be up at 4 AM this morning, in order to film several live segments for the Denver FOX31 news channel. That filming was originally supposed to occur last Thursday, but the huge fires in Colorado Springs bumped me off that day's schedule. Filming on the final morning before we leave for San Diego is far from ideal, but the publicity for the company (and especially for our Jason St. Mega-Store) is so welcome that I simply could not say "no." That having been said, I do not think that I will drive 13 hours, straight through to Las Vegas, tomorrow. I definitely need some catch-up sleep... While preparing for San Diego has certainly preoccupied our time this week, the good news for those of you who shop with us online is that the convention always provides us with a substantial boost to our website inventory. Tens of thousands of comics that we could not get graded in time for the convention will now be reallocated to our online listings for you. We will also be bringing back a huge number of trade paperbacks and hardbacks, as San Diego is always the catalyst for our largest wholesale book purchasing of the year. That having been said, I am going to offer you a unique opportunity this weekend to buy any of our trade paperback and/or hardback books from us at half price! So you know, our weekend 50% off book sale applies to all of our backlist books, but not to new publications released within the past year. All book discounts are posted directly to our website, so the current 50% off JULY4TH codeword does not apply to books. The 50% off codeword DOES apply to all of our back issue comics and magazines, however, excepting only new issues, and our and CGC graded comics. The best news from today is that you can combine steeply discounted books and comics into a single order, so as to be able to reach our free shipping minimums of $30 for domestic orders, and $60 for international orders. Per book fees do still apply on all books to help offset the extra shipping weight, but no base shipping charges apply once the minimum for your region has been met. My final comment for today is a quick mention that both our 50% off JULY 4TH codeword, and the 50% off on all books sale, will be ending on next Wednesday, at noon, Colorado time.
