60% Off Comics Codeword - Trade Paperbacks 50% Off Howdy! Another short newsletter today, as I am bone-weary. Aside from preparing for our huge party that we hosted last Thursday as the opening event for the Denver Comic-Con, I worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday helping customers at our Jason St. Mega-Store. Despite being very tired, I also have that warm inner feeling that comes from knowing that we did a really good job. Our Mega-Store was improved beyond anyone's expectations on Thursday evening, and the 1,200 - 1,500 fans who attended our party universally gave us very positive feedback. It was a great weekend! Before you think that we can now rest, I have to let you know that the San Diego Comic-Con is being held July 11th - 14th, which is a week earlier than in past years. Sigh... Because the July 4th holiday now crosses our normal trucking deadline, we have to have all our material for our huge 7-booth display ready to ship by July 3rd. The really good news, however, is that we can easily adapt a great deal of the work that we already did for Jason St. toward building our San Diego display. In point of fact, we already have over half of our booth material already pulled together, so I think that 2012 is going to be our best San Diego exhibit, ever. Between now and then, however, we are all going to have to work our tails off... Aside from preparing for San Diego, I also have to quickly pull together a little working capital to cover all our upfront San Diego convention expenses, such as the extra labor to pack our semi-trailer full of fixtures, books, and comics. Our 60% off NEALADAMS! codeword sale from this past weekend helped to cover all of our costs from the Jason St. party, but with San Diego just three weeks away, I can already see where we need a little more. That being the case, I am going to extend the 60% off NEALADAMS! codeword sale for you until this Saturday morning, at noon. This exceptionally generous codeword allows you to purchase any of the eight million back issue comics and magazines on our website at only 40% (!) of our listed prices. While the codeword sale will still not apply to books, new comics, non-comics items, and our CGC-graded issues, I am going to have Lynne drop the prices on all of our trade paperbacks listed on our website to 50% off, and all of the comics hardbacks to 40% off. Combining 60% off back issues with 40%-50% off books should make it much easier for you to meet our free shipping minimums of $30 for domestic orders, or $60 for International orders. There were surprisingly few rough edges for this first-time convention, despite the fact that it was the most successful new convention launch anywhere in America in over a decade! Over 10,000 comics fans and creators gathered in Denver for a great weekend of fun, and from the feedback I was receiving in Jason St. I could tell that they were all very, very pleased.
