LOCAL NEWS - Memorial Day Weekend Comics, Books, Toys, and Statues Sale Howdy! At long last, the Memorial Day weekend is here! I don't know how you feel about this traditional beginning of the summer, but all of us here at Mile High Comics are more than ready for the warmth and sunshine. I'm not sure why, but this winter's chill just seemed to hang on forever... Nice weather aside, this first weekend of the summer has also been a time when we traditionally offer special deals on comics, books, toys, and statues in all of our Mile High Comics retail stores. We had a meeting of store managers earlier this week, with our first decision being to offer you an opportunity to purchase a broad selection of the very popular MARVEL ESSENTIALS trade paperbacks at half of cover price. All of these books are now out-of-print from Marvel, and are thus no longer available for us to reorder. First, all three of our stores will be open 12-5 on Monday, Memorial Day. Second, we have decided to minimize our annual Denver Comic-Con pre-party due to the disruptions caused by our recent warehouse move. We are planning to be open at our Jason St. Mega-Store that Thursday evening (June 16th), but with a scaled back event that will consist primarily of tours of our new facility, and local artists signing their works.
