Local News - Huge Memorial Day Comics Sale at Mile High Comics
Howdy!
As hard as it may be for you to believe, Memorial Day is already upon us! Here at
Mile High Comics
we are hustling to get
our three stores
ready, as Memorial Day is the traditional beginning of our summer tourist season. Starting next week,
and accelerating as we progress into June, we should see a huge increase in the number of out-of-state
visitors. We very much welcome this influx in summer buyers as they help us to cover our costs of keeping
our stores
(and most especially our huge
Jason St. Mega-Store)
open in the dark days of winter.
Before that tidal wave of out-of-state visitors hits us, however, we want to provide our loyal Denver-area
fans with one last opportunity to shop in relative peace and quiet, and with some very nice discounts in effect.
After consulting with David and Aaron, below are the discounts at
our stores
during this entire holiday weekend. Please do enjoy these great saving with our sincere thanks for your
continuing support of
Mile High Comics.
*40% OFF BACK ISSUE COMICS & MAGAZINES (excludes $1.00 comics & blue sticker comics)
*30% OFF TRADE PAPERBACKS & HARDCOVERS
*30% OFF STATUES
*30% OFF ACTION FIGURES
*30% OFF APPREAL
*30% OFF POSTERS
I will close today's newsletter with a couple of quick news notes. First, if you have yet to sign up for
our incredible STAR WARS: SCREAMING CITADEL crossover series, you really should do so. The five issues combine
to create the awesome image below. The first three installments
(STAR WARS: SCREAMING CITADEL #1 (Part 1),
STAR WARS #31 (Part 2),
and
DOCTOR APHRA #7 (Part 3))
have already been released and can be purchased for $24.95 each, while the second two
(STAR WARS #32 (Part 4),
and
DOCTOR APHRA #8 (Part 5))
can still be preordered at only $19.95 each. We are only printing 3,000 copies of each, so these are
among the lowest print run
STAR WARS comics
ever released.

Second, please note that all
three of our stores
hours are 12(noon)-5 PM on Monday, so that our staff can be with their families.
Finally, I want to again highlight the fact that we have been buying
comics,
books,
and toys at an unbelievable pace. Our listings on
eBay
have increased by over 100,000 unique items in just the past twelve months, and yet another huge collection
of 100,000+ comics showed up at
Jason St.
on Tuesday. I strongly urge you to take advantage of this weekend's sale to be the first to score some
of these great items at significant savings.
Happy collecting!
