Huge Comics Sale This Weekend plus George Pérez News Howdy! We just received word that comics super-star, George Pérez, will be signing autographs at our June 12th Denver Comic-Con Opening Night Party! We have known George since he first signed autographs for us at in 1981, but it has been many, many years since he was able to find time in his incredibly frenetic schedule to be able to return to us. If you would like to personally meet one of the very nicest gentlemen in the entire comics world, I highly recommend that you be sure to attend our June 12th party. In other news, we are now actively seeking donation commitments for our Denver Children's Advocacy Center benefit bake sale. The bake sale will be held on June 12th in conjunction with our Comic-Con party, and will be operated by volunteers from the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire. We are expecting upwards of 3,000 fans to attend our party, so we are definitely in need to a significant number of baked goods. Richard J. His email address is PrinceRoyale40@gmail.com. Richard will be coordinating all donations, and can help you with any questions you might have. So you know, the ICRME is helping the Denver Children's Advocacy Center raise funds for an examination clinic in one of their three safehouses for young victims of sexual abuse. A full 80% of the funds raised from the bake sale will go directly to the DCAC, with the balance helping cover ICRME costs. Both the ICRME, and the DCAC, are officially registered 501-C3 charities. Finally, as we did last year, we are going to have a great sale over the entire Memorial Day weekend. The primary elements of the sale are listed below, but I want to make special mention of the fact that we are going to let all of our back issue comics go for a full 60% off! through close of day on Monday. This is going to be an incredible opportunity to pick up some great comics for only 40% off list price! Only new comics, our CGC-graded issues, and a few variants are excluded from this 60% off! sale. In case you are wondering, offering such a steep 60% discount on all of our back issues is not something that I want to do, but rather a necessity. If you did not hear the news, our mainframe computer (which drives all of our online operations) failed three weeks ago. It ended up being down for 11 days. The problem turned out to be just one circuit board, which we finally figured out when it melted on us during testing. Once that defective board was replaced, everything was wonderful again, except that $10,000+ of our online revenues are still locked up in unshipped orders. Long story made a bit shorter, I could sure use that delayed revenue right now to pay for building the performance stages for our party, as well as for adding tables and chairs for our entertainment areas. Without any other option readily available to me to fund those improvements, I am going to offer everyone who visits our stores over this holiday weekend the opportunity to build their personal comics collection at ridiculously low cost.
