Howdy!
I'm drinking lots of strong black coffee this morning, and working on recovering my energy. That's because I worked exceptionally hard this past weekend, first helping to organize our Jason St. Open House and autograph signing event this past Saturday, and then selecting over 5,000 comics on Sunday for our grading team from the numerous unsorted pallets in the back of Jason St. I do genuinely love my job, but working seven days a week, I do wear out sometimes...
As regards our autograph party with writers Roger Stern and Raven Gregory, it went incredibly well. We had approximately 400 fans through the Jason St. Mega-Store during the five hours of the signing, which was just about a perfect flow. Both of our celebrity guests were kept quite busy, but not so much so as to preclude them from being able to sign all of the requested comics for those of you who shop with us online. In addition, Roger Stern created a special 200-copy signed and numbered edition of his newest story,
HULK SMASH AVENGERS #3,
while Raven Gregory was able to create a 50-copy signed and numbered edition of our special Mile High Comics cover to
GRIMM FAIRY TALES #73 Cover D S&N.
For those of you who would like to have free copies of the two signed and numbered editions from this weekend, you can earn a signed and numbered copy of HULK SMASH AVENGERS #3 free for any $30 order, and a signed and numbered copy of our GRIMM FAIRY TALES #73 variant cover edition free for any $250 order. Simply place your qualifying order with us as per usual, and then ask for your free comic in the "notes" section of our online order form.
For those of you who cannot meet the high minimum order requirement for the S&N GRIMM FAIRY TALES #73, we can offer you a far easier alternative to obtain Raven's autograph. In between his signing for fans at Jason St., we had Raven sign ten copies each of his very cool
FLY series.
You can chose any one of those 15 different issues that we had Raven sign free for a minimum $20 order, or select any three for a $50 order (
FLY (2011) #2 Cover A Signed,
FLY (2011) #2 Cover B Signed,
FLY (2011) #2 Cover D Signed,
FLY (2011) #3 Cover A Signed,
FLY (2011) #3 Cover B Signed,

GRIMM FAIRY TALES (2005) #63 Cover B Signed,
GRIMM FAIRY TALES (2005) #64 Cover B Signed,
GRIMM FAIRY TALES: DREAM EATER - INFERNO (2011) #1 Cover B Signed).
Quite obviously, however, our supplies of these signed Raven Gregory comics are extremely limited...
Just in case you're wondering, we're going to be creating more special Mile High Comics variant editions in the future, from a variety of comics publishers. Because the cost of commissioning the original artwork (and the printing of a special cover) is so expensive, however, we will almost always have to ask for a substantial minimum order requirement for free copies. We will try to keep these minimum order requirements as low as we possibly can for you, but it's hard to get around those upfront costs...
In other news, we are still collecting names for the drawing that we are holding for a free copy of
AVENGERS #1 in "Good" condition.
Your name will be entered into the drawing every time you place any order with us for $20, or more. You gain one additional entry for each additional $20 increment in your order, so a $200 order would have your name entered into the drawing ten times...
The drawing for the free AVENGERS #1 will be held at the opening night party that we will be hosting in our Jason St. Mega-Store for the Denver Comic-Con, on the evening of June 14th, from 6 PM - 10 PM. I was informed this weekend that several of the celebrity comics guests for the Comic-Con (which begins on Friday evening) will be arriving early, and are planning to attend Jason St. party. I will have names, and more details, for you in future newsletters...

My only other news for today is about those 5,000 comics that I located yesterday for Pam's grading team. As hard as it may seem to believe, we have our sorting and grading of back issue comics down to such a fine art that Pam's team is actually adding 25,000 comics a week (!) to our
New-In-Stock and
Premium New-In-Stock
listings. That means those 17 long boxes full of comics that I so laboriously selected yesterday from our unsorted pallets, will last our graders only one single day. That having been said, we have an exceptionally great selection of hard-to-find back issues in our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links for you today.
While that incredible pace of grading places an enormous burden upon me to continually locate even more comics, it does also gives me a really good feeling to know that both the breadth, and the depth, of
our website
inventory is improving for you every single day. Knowing that our inventory is constantly growing, in turn, is precisely why I have been able to keep our 50% off MADNESS! codeword sale in effect for you on all of our back issue comics and magazines.
In closing, I just made a mental list of what we are able to offer you right now, and I think it is quite compelling:
* The world's largest selection of comics, comics magazines, and comics trade paperbacks
* Our 50% MADNESS! codeword on eight million back issue comics and magazines
* Free signed and numbered variant editions of great comics
* Free shipping on all larger orders
* Free entries into a drawing for an AVENGERS #1
Suffice it to say, we are doing everything that we can right now to sincerely thank you for your continuing support of our efforts on your behalf here at Mile High Comics!
Happy Collecting!

P.S. A substantial number of
Silver Age
(1956-1975) comics were added to our Premium New-In-Stock link on Saturday morning. About a third of those cool older comics have already sold, but two out of three are still available for you, if you hurry. Don't forget that the 50% off MADNESS! codeword applies to these rare older comics, too! Only new comics, books, supplies, and other non-comics items are excluded from the MADNESS! half price codeword sale. Enjoy!
