Half Price SWEETHEART Comics Sale Continues

Howdy!

Another day of very good news, as we are rapidly catching up on the backlog of unfilled orders that resulted from our computer meltdown of last week. If you have been waiting for news that your order has shipped, we thank you very much for your patience. If all goes as planned, your notification should be coming to you very soon. We are now back to shipping 2-3 days worth of orders for every new day received.

As regards new orders, our computer has been running great since we replaced that defective circuit board. That being the case, I am going to go ahead and offer those of you who wish to place a new order with us this week a continuation of our 50% off SWEETHEART codeword sale. This half price sale applies to all eight million of our back issue comics and magazines, excepting only new comics, CGC-graded comics, and few of our variants. All 250,000+ of the trade paperbacks and hardback books that we have in stock also remain on sale for you, with those prices posted for you right on our website.

In other news, Pam's inventory team has been adding thousands of comics into our online inventory during this past week. Check out our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links to see which issues we have just placed back into availability for you. At half price, there are some amazing deals waiting for you...

Finally, I want to share with you a preliminary poster for our upcoming June 12th party at our Jason St. Mega-Store. Our Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire show is a benefit for the Denver Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit organization that runs three safe houses for children that have been sexually abused. The ICRME is helping them to raise funds for a medical center in one of their houses, that will keep kids from having to be examined in an intimidating hospital environment.

I.C.R.M.E. 1st Annual Cosplay Drag Show

We will also be hosting a huge ICRME bake sale during our June12th party for this same worthy cause. I am one of leaders of this year's ICRME fundraising efforts, so I can assure you that a full 80% of the funds received from tipping performers and the bake sale will go directly to the Denver Children's Advocacy Center, with only 20% going to the ICRME to pay for the costs of putting on the show. FYI, the ICRME is a registered 501-C3 charity which raised over $105,000 last year to donate to children's causes, scholarships, and helping the homeless. I became a member of the ICRME three years ago, and never cease to be amazed by the generosity and hard work of this wonderful group of people.

Happy Collecting!

P.S. The employees of Mile High Comics received the Bryan McKay Spirit of Community Award from the ICRME at a special ceremony last evening. Our staff was honored by the new ICRME Emperor and Empress for their continuing commitment to advancing the charitable aims of the organization. At that same event, I was given the honor of being appointed Marquis of this year's Imperial Family, which is an important leadership position in the group. For more on this appointment, watch for our next local newsletter on our Mile High Comics Facebook page.
