Huge Silver Age Comics Auction this Saturday - No minimums! Howdy! I want begin today's newsletter by thanking everyone who has been shopping with us over the past few months. Thanks to your kind and generous support of Mile High Comics, we have been able to fund some wonderful enhancements to our Jason St. Mega-Store that might other wise have not been possible. Our recent addition of over 100 new book display fixtures and magazine racks, for example, was only possible because of the support that we have been receiving from the fans of the Colorado area. We thank you sincerely for helping us to make the best comics shop in the world, even better... While thanking you in writing is nice, I also want to mark this weekend as an official Mile High Comics Customer Appreciation Days event. Effective tomorrow morning (Friday - May 16th), I am putting the following discounts in effect for you at all four of our stores: All back issue comics - 60% off All trade paperbacks and hardbacks - 50% off All statues, toys, posters, and apparel 40% off The only exemptions from this sale are any new items that we've received over the past six months. This sale will run through closing on Sunday evening at all of our stores, except for Littleton, which does not open on Sunday. In addition to having this incredible sale, we are also going to be hosting our most impressive comics action of the year on this Saturday morning in our Jason St. Store, beginning at 11:30 AM. This auction features over 450 Items, including an unprecedented number of very attractive Silver Age comics of all kinds. A partial listing of the issues that will be included in the auction is at the end of this newsletter. As an aside, I want you to now that we made this auction exceptionally nice in part because we were led to believe that a TV film crew was going to record portions of the the auction for a pilot episode of a proposed new show. That filming has now been temporarily postponed, but this dynamite Silver Age comics auction is still going to take place on Saturday morning, precisely as originally planned. Even if you have never before attended one of our no-minimum-bid comics auctions, you really do want to stop by Jason St. on Saturday morning.
