Howdy!

As the warm days of spring finally bless us with excellent planting weather, life is rolling on very well at our organic vegetable farm here in Boulder, Colorado. Nanette and Rowan are busy planting our early crops of various kinds of greens (lettuce, arugala, myzuna, chard, kale, etc.), while I am helping out a little each morning with clearing even more planting beds.

That early morning exercise helps me get warmed up for my very strenuous physical efforts at Mile High Comics, where I am currently sorting through one million back unsorted back issues to fill a huge order for bulk comics. I do occasionally buy large deals in which we are forced to take comics that we do not really want, but for the most part, I only buy on the basis of what we actually need. That being the case, I end up having to unstack, and then restack, several one ton pallets of comics boxes each day, in order to ferret out those few lesser demand issues that are commingled with our better comics. Suffice it to say, after shifting tons of comics each day, I am sleeping very well at night...

A wonderful side benefit of sorting through those hundreds of unmarked boxes filled with comics, is that I do find "lost" gems in nearly every box. Just yesterday, for example, I located an entire long box filled with very nice Silver Age and Bronze Age comics, such as AVENGERS #29, that I picked up at one of John Paul's New Jersey shows last year. I shipped that box home the week before last year's Denver Comic-Con party, and in the rush to clean up for our event, it was put in the bottom row of a pallet by a staff member who did not realize its importance. On that same pallet, I rediscovered 500 brand new DC Comics trade paperbacks and hardbacks. Another box had a higher grade more recent issues, such as WALKING DEAD #15, SANDMAN #3-#8, and WOLVERINE #1. All of these wonderful discoveries will be listed for you in our Premium New-In-Stock links, just as quickly as we can get them graded for you.

Speaking of our New-In-Stock links, I have two quick observations. First, Pam's team is continuing to add upwards of 3,000 more back issues for you every single day. A great many of our daily additions are bargain priced for you, as whenever Pam sees that we have enough copies of any given issue in higher grades, she is intentionally downgrading those VF/NM comics for you into the far less expensive grades of Good, VERY GOOD, and FINE. That effort on her part is precisely why we are experiencing such a vast expansion of our lower priced issues these days. Not all of our comics listed on our website in lower grades are VF/NM, but a surprisingly large number are, especially on more recently published titles.

My second tip for you today is to remember to utilize our ongoing 40% off NEALADAMS codeword when ordering back issue comics and magazines from our website. I only mention this because I am amazed at the number of orders that we receive each day without the codeword. I will grant you that the codeword does not apply to new comics, supplies, or our books, but an instant 40% savings on all eight million of our back issues does seem worth the effort of typing it into the "Discount Code" line on our order form. So you know, the 40% off NEALADAMS codeword also applies to almost all the comics and magazines newly listed listed in New-In-Stock and Premium New-In Stock.

My final item for today is an offer of three more completely free (!) Marvel Comics hardbacks. Pick any one book from the list below as a free bonus for placing a $40 order, or all three as a bonus for placing any $100 order. Request your bonus book(s)in the "notes" section of our online order form, and we will include it in your order for free. Please do note that our small shipping surcharges will still need to apply, however, as these great books are heavy!

P.S. Two of our four daughters, Aleta and Elsbeth, are in Germany right now. Aleta works as a story producer on the "Who Do You Think You Are?" TV show, and had to go to Europe for a film shoot. Elsbeth decided to join her for a few days in Frankfurt, as a small break from a new job she has here in Boulder, translating training documents for large corporations from English, into Spanish and Portuguese. The girls are also going to spend some time visiting my uncle Christoph, and his family, in my nearby hometown of Aschaffenburg, Germany. Nanette and I are so very proud of them...
