50% Off Sale Remains In Effect On All Comics
Howdy!
A brief newsletter today, as I just do not have too much in the way of news or special events to
report at the moment. The one exception would be that I just called Enterprise Truck Rental, and
once again rented the 26' box truck that we used during our move. In this instance, however, I
will be utilizing the truck to haul 12 giant pallets of cardboard over to our local recycling center.
That's how many boxes that we have already emptied from our epic move over from 56th Ave! That having
been said, we do still have hundreds of full boxes of office supplies, etc. sitting on pallets, so I
imagine that I will have to rent that box truck to haul away another batch of cardboard again next week.
No matter how you look at it, the logistics of moving six million
comics,
and our corporate offices,
have been quite daunting.
Big Pile of Cardboard
More Cardboard
In case you are wondering, the main reason why we are not yet completely unpacked is that we are
simultaneously trying to mitigate the shipping backlog that resulted from our moving. Orders are now
leaving
Jason St.
At a far faster pace than we are receiving new orders, but it is still going to be
a while before we are completely current. If you have an order in with us, I thank you in advance for
your patience.
On a related note, if you are trying to call us during our normal office hours (Monday - Friday 9-5),
please be aware that we may not be able to answer your call on the first try. You may have to call a
second time in order to get through. Despite our very best efforts, we have still not been able to work
things out with the phone carrier that services the
Jason St.
area to get our high speed phone and
Internet connections set up. As a result, we only have two incoming lines here right now, versus the six
lines we had in service at 56th Ave. We have been assured that this issue can be quickly resolved, but
until those additional lines are installed, we sometimes cannot catch calls on our second line. Grrr....
While there have (obviously) been many minor aggravating associated with our move, one excellent benefit
is that we uncovered a treasure trove of great
comics and books
that had been set aside in 56th Ave., and
then forgotten. Will Moulton and Pam have been ferreting out some of these choice issues, grading them,
and then entering them into our
New-In-Stock
and
Premium New-In-Stock
links for you. The
New-In-Stock
lists
are still small today, but be aware that they will be expanding rapidly over this next week.
I will close today's newsletter with a quick reminder that our 50% off TRUCKLOAD! codeword sale is still in
effect for you on all ten million of our
back issue comics and magazines.
I had previously planned to end
the TRUCKLOAD! sale this Friday, but given that we are still delayed in shipping some orders, I decided to
keep our awesome half price sale in effect for you until we catch up. New releases, a few variants, trades,
hardcovers, and our CGC-graded issues are still excluded from the sale, but the vast majority of the
comics and magazines
listed on our
website
ARE half price when you utilize the TRUCKLOAD! codeword. Please
enjoy these great 50% off savings with our sincere thanks for your continuing support of
Mile High Comics.
Happy collecting!

DC SUPERHERO GIRLS #1 MILE HIGH edition
P.S. During this past Saturday's Free Comic Book Day celebrations we held a special benefit at our
Jason St. Mega-Store
for the
ICRME
White Rose Scholarship Fund.
A key component of that benefit was that we
offered
complete sets of all 50 of this year's FCBD variants,
plus a copy of our own limited edition variant
of
DC SUPERHERO GIRLS #1,
for a $40 donation to White Rose. All committed sets have now been picked up, and
we discovered that we have a few complete sets remaining. That having been said, if you would like a
complete 2016 FCBD set,
you can now order one through our website for that same $40 White Rose donation (plus shipping). Supplies are
limited.
