Free GRIMM FAIRY TALES Mile High Comics Variant Edition
Howdy!
Ashley and I are driving back to Long Island this morning, after another successful comics buying trip in New England. We have about 30,000 comics in our van right now, many of which will help to fill holes in our website comics listings. I mention this progress on our part not to boast or to brag, but rather to simply make note of the fact that Ash and I have been working hard on your behalf. We are quite aware that when you visit the
milehighcomics.com
website that you expect to be able to purchase just about any comic book ever printed. Realistically, that is not entirely possible, but with each buying trip we take we do manage to keep expanding the diversity of our comics listings for you.
One area that we will be greatly improving for you over the next two weeks are our website listings of
Silver Age (1956-1975)
Marvel and DC comics. On this past Monday, we picked up a complete Marvel comics collection (all the titles, from 1961-up!) in New Jersey, along with about 10,000 older DC comics. This one exceptional private collection was so large that, even when packed up to the ceiling, our rented cargo van could not carry all the comics in just one load!
The vast size and breadth of this Silver Age collection is the good news. The bad news is that many of the older comics from this collection were originally in lower grades, and were then stored in a shed with a leaky roof. Sigh... Suffice it to say, we are going to have some great deals coming available for you on Fair and Good condition reading copies of older Silver Age comics. One box of 300 of those Silver Age issues already went online for you this morning, including low grade copies of
FANTASTIC FOUR #1-#39 and
HULK #1-#6.
There was also a Very Fine condition
HULK #181
in the first box, so there will also be quite a few comics in higher grades.

In other comics news, we just received our
GRIMM FAIRY TALES #73 MILE HIGH COMICS variant cover
in stock. This is our first Zenescope variant edition, and is limited to just 500 copies. We are not going to be wholesaling these comics to anyone, and high printing and production costs require that our list price be a flat $20 per copy.
We will, however, offer free copies of our GRIMM FAIRY TALES #73 variant edition to anyone placing a minimum $200 order (after all discounts) with us over the next week. If you can place an order that large, simply ask for your free Mile High variant in the "notes" section of our online order form.
As an aside, Raven Gregory, the writer of
GRIMM FAIRY TALES,
will be joining Roger Stern on the guest list for our May 19th Jason St. Mega-Store Open House and comics auction. If you would like to obtain Raven's autograph on any of his works (including our exclusive GFT #73 variant) simply purchase those items from our website, and then click on
Raven's $2 autograph fee link.
The same $2 offer still holds true for
Roger Stern autographs,
but Roger's window may need to close soon.
My final comment for today is a quick reminder that you can still lock in 50% discounts right now almost all of our back issue comics and magazines, including all of the older issues listed today in our
New-In-Stock and
Premium New-In-Stock.
Simply type our ongoing MADNESS! Codeword into the "discount code" line on our order form, and our computer will then slash our list prices in half for you on all qualifying back issues. Only new comics, books, supplies, statues, and other non-comics items are excluded from the half-price sale. Please do enjoy these great discounts, with our sincere thanks for your continuing support of our efforts on your behalf at Mile High Comics.
Happy Collecting!
