Huge Free Comic Book Day Sale Begins Today! Free Comic Book Day, the single most popular event in the entire comics year, is just about here! Just in case you missed the news, on this Saturday morning we will begin the largest single giveaway of comic books in the 43-year history of Mile High Comics. With over 30,000 FCBD special editions already in stock at our stores, we are just awaiting the first moment of Saturday, May 4th, to begin passing out all these wonderful free comics. Scans of all the FCBD editions are posted for you at the end of this newsletter. Walking Dead FCBD #1 You (and each member of your family) qualify for your choice of any three of the 53 different FCBD special editions at each of our stores that you visit. All that we ask is that you do not request multiple copies of the same issue at the same store. In addition, for each $10 that you spend on merchandise with us over this weekend, you will be given a coupon that will allow you to pick yet another FCBD special edition. This benefit is in addition to the great discounts listed below. Superman FCBD #1 Mile High Here are our special store hours for this Free Comic Book Day weekend: Jason St. Mega-Store: Very special FCBD Friday evening (May 3rd) opening 11:00 PM - 12:30 AM. We will begin passing our FCBD special editions at 12:01 AM, then close at 12:30 AM, and reopen at 8 AM Saturday morning. Store will be open 8-5 Saturday, with Jim Shooter and Chris Claremont signing free autographs 10 AM - 4 PM. Please do try to stop our stores and pick up as many FCBD editions as you possibly can over the weekend. Beginning on Monday morning we will no longer be giving away any of our remaining FCBD special editions, and will be selling our remaining supplies for a minimum of $3 each. It is also important that you know that our supplies are actually quite limited on some of the FCBD special editions from smaller publishers. If you are trying to build a set of all 53, you should definitely plan to begin shopping with us either at the Friday night midnight sale at Jason St., or as early in the morning as you can on Saturday. Jim Shooter Chris Claremont Finally, we do have a bunch of special events occurring at Jason St. on Saturday. As mentioned previously, Jim Shooter and Chris Claremont will be signing autographs from 10 AM - 4 PM. You may bring into the store three items each for the creators to sign for you. There is no limit, however, on the number of items that you can get signed that you purchase at the Mega-Store on May 4th. Two other major events that we will be holding on Saturday at Jason St. are free wrestling events. See the flyers below for all the details about times and performers. We have hosted wresting events several times in the past, and they have been extremely popular, especially with kids! I will close by mentioning that we are also going to stock up on free snacks and drinks at Jason St., but cannot guarantee that they will last all day.
