FREECOMICS Codeword Ends Monday Howdy! I am sending out a very brief newsletter today, as I have asked Lynne to post for you small cover scans of all 53 of this year's Free Comic Book Day special editions at the end of this newsletter. That many scans takes up a huge amount of transmission time (and server space...) so I will need to keep my own comments minimal. Here are the important points for today: * Our 40% off FREECOMICS codeword sale will need to end on this upcoming Monday, at noon. The sale discount does not apply to new comics and books, but all of our backlist comics, magazines, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, and hardbacks listed on our website qualify for the 40% off FREECOMICS codeword discount through Monday. Tick FCBD #1 * For each $10 that you spend on our website (or in our retail stores) through this Saturday evening qualifies you to choose one of this year's Free Comic Book Day special editions, at no charge. Place your order via our website as per usual, and then request your FCBD selections (by our number, if you can) in the "notes" section of our order form. All 53 are currently still available. Please do note that your FCBD selections cannot appear on your confirmation invoice, as our computer system cannot invoice free items, but we will definitely include with with your order. Also, all orders containing FCBD editions will ship next Monday, as we are not allowed to release any of the FCBD comics before this Saturday. Jim Shooter Chris Claremont * Finally, we can only accept advance orders for autographs from comics greats, Jim Shooter and Chris Claremont, for two more days, through the end of the day on Friday. Autographs are only $2 each, and come with a nice Mile High Comics certificate of authenticity. Just order the comics you wish signed, and then add autograph fees as a separate line item. Please do confirm in the notes which comics you want signed, and by whom. Both Chris and Jim will also be signing in person at our Jason St. Mega-Store on this Saturday, Free Comic Book Day, from 10 AM - 4 PM. They worked on a lot of great books together at Marvel from 1979-1987, with Jim Shooter's Valiant stories considered among his very best, and Chris's epic work on X-MEN setting the stage for all of the movies.
