42 Free Comic Book Day Variants

Howdy!

Avengers:
Age of Ultron
This Saturday, May 5th, we will be giving away 10,000 comics! To obtain your free comics, all you need to do is to simply show up at any one of our four Denver-area comics stores on Saturday. Everyone attending our Free Comic Book Day parties on Saturday will receive their choice of four free comics from this year's 42 FCBD special variant editions, with absolutely no purchase requirement. We are also having a very special Marvel and DC comics trade paperbacks and hardbacks sale that day, in which you can obtain one free Marvel or DC book (of equal or lesser value...) for each two Marvel or DC books that you purchase from us at regular price. All of our toys, statues, t-shirts, and other comics-related items will also be a full 30% off that day, except for new comics, cards, and comics supplies.

In addition to the four free comics that you can receive without making a purchase, you can also earn the right to pick even more FCBD comics for each $5 you spend with us on Saturday (only). If, for example, you buy three trade paperbacks from us on Saturday for a net $30, you can then choose 10 free comics (four for just showing up, and six for spending $30). Simply put, our goal is to help you easily obtain as many of this year's 42 different FCBD editions as possible.

DC Comics:
New 52
The one logistical difficulty that we have to overcome this Saturday is that we have too few copies of some of the FCBD "Silver" editions to be able to stock all of our stores. The 10 "Gold" FCBD variants will be available at all of our stores, except Jason St. Mega-Store, but our entire inventory of the 42 "Silver" FCBD variants is going to be centrally located at our new Jason St. Mega-Store, just two blocks south of the Intersection of I-70 and Pecos St., at 4600 Jason. To help those of you making purchases at stores other than the Mega-Store, we will be issuing special "Silver Certificates" at our Lakewood, Colorado Blvd., and Littleton retail stores. These "Silver Certificates" will be issued to you in whatever amount was justified by your purchases on Saturday at our neighborhood stores, and will be redeemable in FCBD variants on Saturday (only) at our Jason Mega-Store. Call 303-477-0042 for more information, and directions to Jason St.

Another reason for you to stop by Jason St. on Saturday is that we are going to have an additional free comics offer only at Jason St., in that anyone who shows up will be allowed to pick ten (!) more free comics from our immense $1 value-priced back issues selection. We will have over 50,000 comics available at Jason St. on Saturday from which you can choose your ten free comics. Please be aware, however, that this ten free comics offer is for this Saturday only, and will be in effect only at Jason St. Also, Jason St. will be open that day officially from 10 AM - 3 PM, but I will have free coffee and donuts for early birds beginning at 9 AM, and will personally be keeping the Jason St. doors open until 6 PM, for those of you who need to stop by later in the day. Our goal is to make this year's Free Comic Book Day a wonderful experience for both you, and your family. That is precisely why we are going to give away an incredible number of comics!

Transformers
My final topic for today is a quick warning about limited availability of many of this year's FCBD variant editions. We started offering the FCBD variants as incentives for advance purchases from our website on Monday afternoon, and had already had over 1,500 copies reserved by noon, on Tuesday. We thought that we had ordered plenty enough of all the 42 editions to last through the entire day on Saturday, but it now looks as though we seriously underestimated worldwide demand. If you absolutely have to have any of the 42 issues listed below, then I highly encourage you to immediately place an order via our website, and then ask for those issues in the "notes" section of our order form. You earn any four FCBD variants free for the first $20 of your order and then one additional free variant for each $5 you spend above $20. Barring your placing an order with us via our website, please do try and visit our stores right when they open on Saturday morning. Based on what I am hearing from around the country, we are not the only comics retailer who seriously underestimated just how many fans wanted all 42 of these great FCBD variants. These 42 comics could easily turn out to be the most collectible and sought-after FCBD variant editions of all time!

Happy Collecting!
