I thought that I was done with mentioning
AVENGERS VS X-MEN
titles for a while, but everyone
that we know was caught unawares this week of the fact that
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1 is the title in which
the primary characters from the Avengers and X-Men teams engage in individual battles.
In issue #1 for example, Marvel presents IRON MAN VS MAGNETO, and THING VS SUB-MARINER,
in two separate eight page stories.

Avengers vs. X-Men: Avx vs. #1

What makes this development so important for everyone collecting this hit new Marvel series
is that the stories presented exclusively in this six-issue mini-series are critical to the
outcome of the entire crossover. That being the case, you would think that Marvel would have
printed extra copies, especially in light of the fact that
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1
is such an unusual title.
When we rushed our reorder in to Diamond, however, we were informed that the first printing
of
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1
was already sold out! We did (blessedly) receive a confirmation for about half
of our reorder, but we apparently received the last few copies available.
The good news for you is that we had already ordered an extra 100 copies of
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1,
with the
intention of giving them away today to anyone on our newsletter mailing list who placed a minimum
$20 order with us. I am going to hold to that commitment, but I wanted to let those of you who are
collecting the
AVENGERS VS X-MEN
series know that you will have to move very quickly to obtain
your copy of this new #1. Our mail order subscription service has only a few unallocated copies left,
and I am expecting that our three stores will sell out of all of their copies of
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1
by Friday, at the latest. If you order from us by mail and would like us to send you a free copy
of the first printing of
AVENGERS VS X-MEN: AVX VS. #1
, please be sure and get your minimum $20 order in to us ASAP,
and be sure to remember to ask for your free copy of this highly desirable comic in the "notes"
area of your order. 'Nuff said.

Speaking of our retail stores, I did want to remind everyone who lives in
Colorado that we offer space to local comics creators at our Jason St. Mega-Store
events for free, and also have tables available for anyone wanting to sell items
from their collections, for a mere $20. We had three local comics creators and four
independent comics dealers from the Denver area selling comics at our last Jason St.
Open House, and they all told me that they would be looking forward to coming to our
next event. To reserve your own exclusive table at one of our Jason St. sales just
contact David, our super-friendly Lakewood store manager, at David.Saindon@gmail.com. or (303) 238-8125
He can arrange exhibit space for you right up to the evening before each sale.

In other news, I want to let you know that I recently located the largest collection
of 1970's and 1980's Italian Marvel Comics I have every owned. I realize that collecting
International editions of Marvel Silver Age comics is a very specialized niche, but I do
collect International editions myself, so I can personally assure you that finding 1,000
higher grade older Italian comics in one deal is quite unusual. If nothing else, I was
absolutely delighted to be able to post all 1,000 of these extremely rare Italian cover
scans on to our website for you to see...

My final news note for today is to let you know that we are continuing to add many
thousands more comics, magazines, and books each day into our New-In-Stock
and Premium New-In-Stock
links on our website. I was working at
Jason St. by myself this
past Sunday, and in between giving private tours of our giant new facility, I managed
to rediscover an entire pallet filled with 15,000 pre-1985 comics! All of these older
comics and magazines are available to you right now at half price if you type our 50% off MADNESS!
codeword into the codeword discounts line on our order form. That drops your net price on a
great many of these lower grade Silver age and
Bronze Age comics into the $1-$3 range, which
is remarkably inexpensive for comics over 30 years old! Please enjoy these great half price
discounts, with our sincere thanks for your continuing support of our efforts on your behalf
here at Mile High Comics.
Happy Collecting!
