I want to let you know today about some excellent comics that we have just received here at Mile High Comics.
To begin, Pam purchased an amazing collection of BATMAN back issue last week containing over 300 different issues,
with dates beginning around 1975. That one cool collection comes on top of the 5,000+ pre-1980 comics that Pam purchased
earlier in the week, in seven other major collections.
Among the other titles where we now have excellent stock on hand for you are
CONAN,
HULK,
CAPTAIN AMERICA,
SPIDER-MAN,
X-MEN,
DAREDEVIL,
THOR,
ACTION,
ADVENTURE,
SHOWCASE,
BRAVE AND BOLD,
CHALLENGERS,
SUPERMAN, and
WONDER WOMAN.
Even better, all of these great older comics are still available to you at half the price listed on our
website
, when you utilize our ongoing MADNESS! codeword. Just type MADNESS! Into the "codeword discount" line on our order form
and our computer will slash all your back issue prices in half, except on comics published during the past twelve months,
and our CGC-graded issues.

While we did most certainly buy predominantly
Marvel and
DC
back issues in those 8 big collections
last week, there were also over 1,000 different older comics from such diverse smaller publishers
as
ACG,
Archie Comics,
Charlton,
Dell Publishing,
EC Comics,
Fawcett Publication,
Gold Key,
Harvey Comics, and
Tower.
Almost all of these issues also
qualify for the 50% off MADNESS! Codeword discount.
While all those older comics are now listed for you in New-In-Stock
and Premium New-In-Stock,
as well as on
our website, I did want to let you know that those very colorful and diverse older issues are also what
we are now utilizing as "eye candy" on the huge comics display boards that we are in the process of installing
in our Jason St. Mega-Store. Even with only just the first section of this incredible array of older comics now
on display, we are already drawing rave reviews from our numerous Mega-Store visitors!

Speaking of viewing our new Jason St. store, if you are visiting the Denver area on any given day, you should give
us a call at 303-477-0042, and see if someone will be there to show you around. Word-of-mouth is rapidly spreading
within the Denver comics community of just how cool our new Mega-Store really is to see, so the number of daily
visitors has suddenly surged enormously. Even though I was only supposed to be there sorting comics over this past
weekend, I ended up playing host to nearly 20 eager comics fans, including several visitors from out-of-state.

In between chatting with our visitors this weekend, I still managed to locate several thousand great back issues for
those of you who shop with us online (including key issues of
DEADPOOL,
WITCHBLADE,
DARKNESS, and
GROO...) so it was no
bother at all for me to also show folks the Mega-Store. We're located at 4600 Jason St., in a gigantic warehouse building
just two blocks south of the Pecos St. Exit from I-70. Actually, our Jason St. Building is also only four blocks from Interstate 25,
so if you are driving through Denver for any reason either north/south or east/west, and can spare even a few minutes,
we're right off either major freeway.

Moving on to other news from the world of comics, DC is beginning to gear up for their big summer projects, including NIGHT OF THE OWL,
the new
BATMAN
storyline that will be the first major story arc to run through multiple issues of the 52 relaunch titles.
To draw extra attention to NIGHT OF THE OWL, DC created a very limited edition variant of
BATMAN #8 which retailers could
only obtain in exchange for boosting their orders substantially. We were able to meet DC's ordering criteria, so we can
offer you copies of this cool new variant to
BATMAN #8
completely for free if you place a minimum $20 order with us
over the next couple of days. Just place your minimum $20 order, and then ask for your free
BATMAN #8
variant in the
"notes section” of our online order form. It's that simple... Please be aware, however, that our supplies of this cool
variant were severely limited by DC, and there is no possibility of us obtaining any reorder. If you want a free copy
of this cool BATMAN
variant, please do place your order with us right away.

My last two news notes for today are very brief. First, I apologize to those of you who were seeking copies of
AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #0
(2nd Printing) from us on Friday. Simply put, we ran out. As I feared, Marvel under shipped Diamond, so we were denied
our last confirmed (hah!) reorder of this critical issue. Sigh... On a happier note, I think that I can squeeze in a
quick buying trip to the upper East Coast May 6th - May 16th, in between two major Jason St. events that I have listed
for you below. My plan (for now...) is to make a public appearance in Clifton, New Jersey on May 13th, at
John Paul's wonderful
one-day comics convention that Sunday, in the Clifton Community Center. Please stop by and visit with us on May 13th!
Happy Collecting!
