Free Limited Edition SPIDER-MAN Hardcover
Howdy!
An abbreviated newsletter today, as I am hurrying to return yet another rental
truck that we've been using all day to haul tens of thousands of comics from our
former 56th Ave. headquarters building, over to our
Jason St. Mega-Store.
Our move
is progressing quite nicely. But trying to get this move done while also serving the
needs of those of you who have been kind enough to place orders with us has proven to
be quite a challenge. Lynne and Pam have really stepped up to help us with shipping
orders however, so great progress is being made on all fronts.
On a related note, our head buyer,Will Moulton, is continuing to add excellent comics
into our
New-In-Stock
and
Premium New-In-Stock
links. Almost all of those newly-arrived
back issues
qualify for the savings provided by our new 40YEARS! codeword. Only
new comics, a few variants, and our CGC issues are excluded from the 50% off 40YEARS!
sale.
Will is going to have even more great comics to add for you next week, as we dismantled
a huge shelving unit today that backed up to a large section of pallet racking. On the
bottom of that pallet racking was a "lost" pallet containing 5,000+
books,
comics, and old magazines
that Will and I purchased on one of our buying trips over five years ago!
I have no idea of what most of those boxes contain, but the one on top consisted entirely
of 35 NM copies of the
2007 benefit hardback "THE ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN 100 PROJECT,"
published
by the wonderful folks at the
Hero Initiative.
We bought these great books from them to show
support for older comics creators in need, but then had the entire box disappear in the recesses
of our warehouse. Finding them today is actually quite topical, as Spider-Man just made a surprise
appearance in the new Captain America: Civil War movie trailer. Woo!
2007 benefit hardback "THE ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN 100 PROJECT
In any event, I have decided to go head and give 25 of these awesome
hardback Spider-Man books
away to anyone who requests a copy after placing a minimum $100 order (after all discounts...)
with us. Limit one copy per client, please! If you want a copy for your library, be sure and
place an order right away, as this is an extremely limited edition hardback.
Happy collecting!

P.S. Today happens to be my 61st birthday, which means that is also the 40th anniversary of my
beloved wife, Nanette, and I going out on our very first date together. Talking her into going
out with me for my first legal drink was the best decision I ever made! Still, I just cannot
believe how the time has flown. It all seems like it happened just yesterday. Sigh...
