Free CABLE and BATMAN Books

Howdy!

Our Herculean effort to merge everything contained in our 56th Ave. headquarters building into our Jason St. Mega-Store is continuing to progress nicely. We moved another 50,000 back issues to Jason St. on Monday afternoon, and plan to move a similar number today. In between our trucking efforts, our staff is dismantling and reassembling sections of our steel shelving, and also condensing our pulling files to remove any empty space from the boxes. Suffice it to say, this is all very time-consuming.

In the photo below you can see the first row of shelving that has been rebuilt at Jason St. This one unit is over 100' long, eight feet high, and contains about 250,000 comics. Our website inventory files of individually bagged and graded issues are about ten times that size, so we will ultimately need about ten times this much shelving, and that is just for our single issues. We will then have to begin the even more arduous task of moving our comics that are stocked in greater depth, which constitutes yet another 2.5 million issues. The good news is that we own a huge number of old comics. The bad news is that moving that many comics takes an immense amount of effort....

1st 100' Row!

In other news, we have been continuing to work down our shipping backlog. With luck we will be much closer to current by the end of next week. In the meantime, however, please allow us at least a week to ship any order you place with us. I realize that it can be frustrating to have to wait for an order confirmation, especially in these days of lightning-fast Internet fulfillment. But the offset to our slower shipping is that you can pick up darn near any of the ten million back issue comics and magazines that we list on our website right now at half price via our new 50% off 40YEARS! codeword sale. Only new issues, a few variants, and our CGC-graded comics are excluded from the 40YEARS! discounts.

As I mentioned on Monday, all of our graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and hardcover comics collections are on sale right now, too, with discounts on our books ranging from 40%-50% off. In all honesty, we are only selling our books so inexpensively only because we simply need to keep generating extra cash to pay our moving costs. In many instances, this means that we are offering you great books at our cost, or below. That having been said, while selling some of our books so inexpensively stings a bit, we do have over 250,000 graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and hardcover books in stock. Sacrificing a few shelves of books to further the cause of our moving out of 56th is just one of those pragmatic decisions I have no choice but to implement. Please enjoy this wonderful opportunity to build your personal library at minimal cost.

CABLE VOL. 1: THE SHINING PATH

CABLE VOL. 2: THE PATH

I will close today's newsletter with a couple of awesome giveaways. The first two are long out-of-print CABLE trade paperbacks, CABLE: THE SHINING PATH. and CABLE VOL. 2: THE PATH. Both of these books were released in 2002, long before the current interest in all things CABLE were ignited by his anticipated appearance in the next DEADPOOL movie. We have 30 copies each of these books that we can afford give away as a reward for a minimum $40 order. Or, if you wish, you can request both of these cool books as a reward for a $75 order. Limit one set per client, please.

BATMAN: SON OF THE DEMON HC

The next giveaway that I am offering is quite amazing, as it is a stack of 20 copies of the 1987 hardcover first printings of BATMAN: SON OF THE DEMON. We have been selling these books rather steadily at $75 each, but I was blessed to obtain three unopened cases from a warehouse closeout two years ago. Since we need more cash to pay the costs of moving out of 56th, I am going to offer you one of these incredibly nice BATMAN hardcovers for free today as a reward for placing a minimum $200 order with us. We are only giving away 20 copies, however, and there needs to be a strict limit of one copy per client, please. 'Nuff said.

Happy collecting!

P.S. Please bear in mind that all of my giveaway offers need separate minimums to be met for each item. Thank you!
