Comics and Toy Auction This Saturday At Mile High Comics Howdy! At 11:30 AM tomorrow, our wonderful Jason St. no-minimum-bid auction will begin! As the cool pictures at the end of this newsletter clearly illustrate, we have over 500 comics, toys, statues, prints, and other collectibles already dedicated to the auction. More items are being added today, and even more will probably arrive tomorrow as additional folks bring in items from their personal collections to donate for the charity portion of the event. All auction items will be sold for with no minimum bids, or reserves. This is going to be great fun! Auction Crowd from December Two quick notes about the auction: First, I want you to know that our auctions are designed to be very family-friendly events, with kids definitely getting preference when bidding. We had several new groups of kids show up for our December auction, and they all raved about the fun they had, and all the cool stuff that they scored. The tasty free snacks were appreciated, too... Second, while the bulk of the auction items are being sold to help us to cover our costs of making the Jason St. store grow, a significant number of items will be sold as a part of an official Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire benefit auction. Our beneficiaries this time are the Denver Children's Advocacy Center (which provides assistance to kids who have suffered abuse), and the ICRME White Rose Scholarship Fund (which awards scholarships each year to hardworking students of limited means). As I did in December, I will be alternating during the auction with our items, and with items that have been donated. If you have any collectibles in your closet that no longer fit with your current passions, please bring them with you to our auction on Saturday morning.
