10 Special Sale Comics 80% Off - STAR WARS Collection Arrives
Howdy!
I just got off the phone with Will Moulton, our head new comics buyer. Will helps me a great deal,
and he is my go-to guy whenever I need something handled immediately. The task that I assigned to
him yesterday was to grade and enter into our
website
inventory over 1,000
STAR WARS comics
that
I found stored on a shelf in the back of our
Jason St. Mega-Store.
Those great back issues had not
been misplaced, but rather were put there as a direct result of our inventory staff's sorting efforts
of the last three months.
Thanks to Will's Herculean efforts,
588
of those STAR WARS back issues are available for you on our
website
this morning. The titles run the gamut, from the original
Marvel #1-#107 run,
all the way
through present. Will kept track for me, and he reported that a substantial number of these newly
arrived
STAR WARS
issues filled holes in our website listings, and even more allowed for less expensive
options to be listed. Will is planning to grade another 500 STAR WARS issues this afternoon, so those
of you who have an interest in those titles should check our website
New-In-Stock
listings tomorrow. We
typically upload the new inventory at noon...
In other news, I spent some time yesterday afternoon sorting through the two million comics that we
stashed away years ago in our long term storage facility. Quite frankly, I was searching through those
boxes for mistakes, i.e. comics that turned out to not be worth the 15 years of storage costs we absorbed.
I was motivated to do this because I have an opportunity to turn some of those slow-moving comics into
cash right now, while simultaneously freeing up some much-needed space for the 500,000 awesome comics
that we purchased during 2015.
Well, my efforts in our storage facility ended out to be pretty much in vain. After reviewing the first
200,000 comics, I had only 4,000 that I could deem as overstock. That's an
awesome 98% keep rate! Better
yet, I discovered a whole bunch of very desirable older issues where we had up to one thousand NM copies
in stock. The rest of this newsletter will consist of comics that you can purchase from us this weekend
that were among my discoveries. At the prices listed, however, I must restrict the number of copies per
client to 3 of each, as we do not want to flood the market. Please enjoy the great savings with our
sincere thanks for your continuing support of our efforts on your behalf here at
Mile High Comics.
