LOCAL NEWS - BEASTIVAL Concert and Comics Event This Saturday! Howdy! I am writing today's local newsletter at DIA, while I wait for my flight to Seattle. My journey today is not a comics buying trip, but rather to attend the coronation of the new Seattle monarchs in my role as Prince Royale of the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire. I generally very much like attending out-of-town coronations, as I not only get to meet some really nice people from other chapters of the Imperial Court System, but I also enjoy all the pomp and ceremony. That having been said, the timing of today's journey was unfortunate, as I am going to have to miss Saturday night's BEASTIVAL 3, the incredibly dynamic music and pop culture show that we host every couple of months at our Jason St. Mega-Store. BEASTIVAL 3 POSTER If you have never attended one of our BEASTIVAL events, I highly encourage you to stop by our store on Saturday evening. Our events are loud and raucous, but they also have a wonderfully positive dynamic, while providing many local creators the opportunity to show their talents to an extremely diverse audience. We had 33 players in our last tournament, and raised $900 toward the cost of our new regulation poker tables. Our next game is tentatively scheduled for April 2nd.
