Free AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700 Variants Howdy! As I mentioned in Monday's newsletter, January has really started off with a burst of positive energy here at Mile High Comics. For starters, I spent all of last weekend purchasing 25,000 excellent back issue comics to offer you on our website while traveling around the Dallas area. Those two huge pallets of comics left Texas on Monday night, so there is a possibility that they may arrive here in Denver as early as this afternoon! As my purchases are gradually added into our online inventory, I think that everyone who reads this newsletter will see a large number of issues that they would very much like to add to their collections. Not only was I able to find over 5,000 Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age comics, but I also picked up over 10,000 comics published during this past year. You really should keep an eye on our New-In-Stock listings every day this week. We usually load the update to the website around noon... In case you are wondering, back issues of recently published comics are a very rare deal these days, primarily because the print runs on most new comics are exceptionally low. We do purchase a few copies of all the new issues each week specifically for inclusion in our back issue listings on our website, but like all comics retailers who have survived the economic turmoils of the past few years, we have learned to be very cautious. That is why, when demand for a specific title such as AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700 suddenly spikes, we run out of stock almost immediately. The good news is that we sometimes have access to hard-to-find recent comics. While we still have not been able to locate any copies of the more common standard edition of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700, we did obtain enough of the four variant covers that I am once again going to offer them to you for free. Because the price in the secondary market has spiked so high on these variant #700 issues, however, our criteria is that you can ask for any one variant of #700 for free if you place a minimum $100 order with us, or all four with a minimum $300 order. Simply place your order on our website, and then ask for you free selection in the "notes" section of our online order form. There is a strict limit of one of each variant per customer, please. Suffice it to say, those of you who obtained all four of these variant issues from us after Christmas, were very, very fortunate! Amazing Spider-Man #700 50th Anniversay Variant Amazing Spider-Man #700 Coipel Variant Amazing Spider-Man #700 Martin Variant Amazing Spider-Man #700 Ramos Variant Line outside our Lakewood Store for the Superior Spider-Man #1 On a closely related subject, SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #1 releases today. This is the continution of the story from #700. We are essentially sold out at all of our stores, with fewer than twenty copies remaining at each of our four physical locations, and none left through our online subscription service. We did have one batch of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #1 that we put on sale at $1 over cover price via our website, but those are now all gone, too! We have a very slim chance of obtaining a small reorder on this title, but since Marvel sold out over two weeks ago, we are not optimistic. Additional copies will be on our website at market price, whatever that may turn out to be... Moving on to other news, have you been noticing all the great modern comics, trade paperbacks, comics hardbacks, and variant editions that we have been adding into our New-In-Stock listings during the past week? We have added over 1,000 trades and hardbacks on to our website for you during the past two weeks, with a heavy emphasis on scarce Marvel and DC titles. In addition, Will Moulton has been focused on adding rare variant comics from one huge collection, as well as over 100 Marvel and DC newsstand editions of recent comics that are so rare that they were not even listed in our database! In almost all instances, however, we received but one copy of these rare issues, so I highly encourage you to peruse our New-In-Stock listing today. I will close today's newsletter by mentioning that we are getting ready to send out our quarterly mailing to all of the participants in our free Want List program. This mailing summarizes all of the issues from your personal list that we currently have available on our website. If you already have a Want List created with us, it would be really a good idea to spend a little time updating your requests over the next couple of days, adding anything new that you are seeking, and deleting those comics that you have now already obtained. If you do not yet have your personal Want List on file with us, you should do so immediately! All you need to do is to create a personal password with us, and then go through our database and check off all of those issues that you would love to own, but that we do not have in stock right now. This completely free program instantly sends you a free notification e-mail each time that one of your desires arrives in stock at our Denver warehouse. You can then choose to make a purchase at that time, or wait until placing an order with us is more convenient for you. We will let you know when we obtain scarce items that you are seeking, but you are under no obligation whatsoever to make any purchase.
