We are currently seeking motivated individuals who have a desire to work within the comics industry as a career. Prospective staff members would start their training at our Main Warehouse. Many opportunities then exist for qualified individuals to move up within the Mile High Comics staff hierarchy, as our online sales are currently growing at the rate of over 50% per year. These starting positions have a starting wage of $7.50 per hour, with raises dependent on performance. Primary duties include:

Comics knowledge is required for these positions. We also ask for a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a high-energy environment. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma (or GED), and be in good physical condition with no dust allergies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS

In addition to the above reference requirements, Mile High Comics, Inc. requires that all applicants have a High School Diploma or GED. You must be in good health and have no physical limitations that prevent you from performing the duties of the job for which you are applying. All applicants are required to take a very simple one-page test designed to clarify whether they can add, subtract, and alphabetize. Any applicant missing two or more of the questions on the test is precluded from working for Mile High Comics, Inc., and may not reapply for 90 days.

How to Apply

COLORADO All applicants in Colorado are asked to please apply in person at our corporate headquarters building, 2151 W. 56th Ave., Denver, 80221. Applications are accepted from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Resumes can be sent in advance either by FAX (303)-477-5315, or by e-mail. You must, however, fill out an application, and pass our simple skills test, before an interview can be granted.

Directions: Our building is located between Pecos and Federal on 56th Ave. This area is primarily residential, and our warehouse is a two-story concrete building with no sign. To reach the building from:

The Northwest, take the Boulder Turnpike to Federal, go south to 56th, turn left (east) and go about four blocks.

The West: take I-70 to Federal, turn north (left), go about ten blocks to 56th, turn right (east) go about four blocks

The South: take I-25 north to I-70, I-70 west to Federal, Federal north to 56th, turn right (east) go about four blocks

The East: take I-70 west to Federal, north (right) to 56th, turn right (east) go about four blocks

The Northeast: take I-76 to Pecos, turn south (left) on Pecos, go over four sets of train tracks, turn right (west) on 56th, about two blocks

The North: take I-25 south to I-76 westbound (be careful not to take the first I-76 exit, which is eastbound), exit Pecos, turn left (south), go over four sets of train tracks, turn right (west), go two blocks
