Green Lantern (1960) #18
"World of Perilous Traps!" Art by Gil Kane. Sinestro appearance. Sometimes the burden of being a super-hero 24 hours a day, seven days a week gets wearisome. For Green Lantern, the responsibility of an entire space sector is in his hands and he can never afford to have an "off" day or entertain the idea of throwing in the towel. And yet, that's exactly what the evil, former Green Lantern Sinestro seems to have tricked him into doing. It's all part of Sinestro's scheme to win an evil popularity contest in the Anti-Matter Universe of Qward!
In the backup story, a ne'er-do-well hobo picks up GL's power ring after our hero sets it down outside a cave. Green Lantern is trying to experiment with his ring to discover the range of his control. But the answer to this question comes at a high price as the result is a powerless Hal Jordan has to fight a societal misfit equipped with his power ring! "Green Lantern vs. Power Ring!" is drawn by Kane and Mike Sekowsky.
