Astonishing X-Men (2004) #7
"Dangerous" is written by Joss Whedon and drawn by John Cassaday. Guest-starring the Fantastic Four. Wing, a young mutant who lost his ability to fly when Ord of the Breakworld forced the drug Hope on him, is despondent and hoping against hope that his powers will return. But the X-Men, who act as professors for Wing and all of the other young mutants at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, know Hope can't be reversed. But for now, the immediate threat is a 100-foot giant lizard rampaging through downtown New York. Consistent with their new goal of doing more public "super-hero" work to brighten the image of the X-Men, Cyclops, Colossus, Emma Frost, Beast, Wolverine and Shadowcat get down to work.
While Wolverine unleashes his claws, Shadowcat rescues nearby innocents in danger. Colossus lands steel-fisted power into the beast's nose. The Beast puts the Blackbird's guns to good use and Emma Frost calms the minds of those who must evacuate the area. Cyclops provides field command and an optic blast or two. Still, the monster persists in its rampage. That is, until the FF shows up. Marvel's first family has a long history of battling giant monsters in downtown Manhattan and in a recreation of the cover of Fantastic Four #1, the FF and the X-Men team up to battle the colossal beast. After figuring out the monster was one of the Mole Man's underground mutates, the two teams exchange pleasantries and a few friendly barbs. Meanwhile, Wing finds he can't fly after all and in the Danger Room he lies broken in body and spirit.
