X-MEN (1991) (#1-275) (MARVEL) #144 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men (1991) #144
"Assault on Weapon Plus Part 3 of 4 The Flesh" is written by Grant Morrison with art by Chris Bachalo and Tim Townsend. Cyclops, Wolverine and Fantomex continue their trek within the Weapon Plus program's artificial world where evolution and time is sped up to create perfect man-mutant-machine weapons. They're looking for Weapon XV, the most dangerous creation yet and they are somewhat fearful that they'll find him. He's not the only menace in this techno-nightmare artificial world, however. Massive car-cops using whale brains and loaded down with heavy armament also patrol the "streets," looking to eliminate intruders.

Finally, Weapon XV reveals himself and tears into the trio of mutants with the power of a god and the understanding of a child. Fantomex and Wolverine have their healing factors to protect them but Cyclops, bereft of his patented ruby red eye beams, has nothing but his skill, leadership and willpower to keep himself alive in the onslaught. Finally, Weapon XV breaks free of his artificially created world, the immortal, indestructible last survivor of his "planet," and rockets towards outer space where the heart of the Weapon Plus system silently orbits our Earth!
