X-MEN (1991) (#1-275) (MARVEL) #126 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men (1991) #126
Cassandra Nova has stolen Professor Xavier's body, imprisoning him in her own disease-wracked frame. Cyclops and the mysterious mutant Xorn must escape a self-destructing Shi'ar starship with Empress Lilandra and her advisor Araki. The Xavier Institute is under siege by a mind as powerful as Xavier's and twice as savage. The Imperial Guard falls before Cassandra Nova like wheat before the scythe. These are all signs that writer Grant Morrison has been hard at work, deconstructing the X-Universe in his own inimitable style.

But all is not lost. Young mutants led by Emma Frost are hatching a plan for counter-attack, using one of the Guard's own soldiers. And Jean Grey has saved Professor X from death by taking his immense mutant mind into her own for safekeeping. But the micro-Sentinels in her bloodstream are killing her. Enter Xorn, the healer and Cyclops, Jean Grey's true love and "favorite super-hero." Together, they hatch a desperate plan to stop Cassandra Nova from killing them all and it involves spreading Charles Xavier's consciousness out among every mutant on Earth via Cerebra. See Wolverine and the Beast fight side by side! See Emma Frost's shocking betrayal of the team! And don't miss the ending which begins a startling, new chapter in the life of Professor X. Frank Quitely provides the pencils.
