WEIRD MYSTERY TALES (1972) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Weird Mystery Tales #1
First appearance of Destiny. We trust you'll take to these titanic tales of terror from the tortured typewriters of DC's talented troubadours. We begin with a shock-filled story originally created for the never-published black and white magazine Spirit World #2. Jack Kirby and Mike Royer's "Horoscope Phenomenon or Witch Queen of Ancient Sumeria?" explores the influence of the stars on the lives of three people who stand at the crossroads of life. Weird visions of astrological signs come to life haunt their waking moments and influence them to make fate-changing decisions. Can each find a link to ancient civilizations where men and women knew and revered the power of the Zodiac?

Then, two men named Robert Beaumont born at the same time with the same face but in vastly different social circumstances come to very different ends. Linked seemingly by a common psychology as well as physiology, "The Brothers Beaumont" share pain and pleasure throughout their lives. And when the end comes for the one Beaumont tied to a prison electric chair, the other lies dying of a mysterious and sudden heart attack in a hospital emergency room. Can one live without the other? (written by Howard Purcell, art by Purcell and Jack Abel).
