Plot Synopsis: Tomb of Darkness #13
A quartet of kooky and creepy capers from Marvel's fabulous '50s. First off, get to know "The Man in the Tomb!" A rich social club's sick and gruesome yet harmless initiation ritual becomes the swan-song for a pushy gangster looking for instant social standing. Locked away in a crypt with nothing but darkness and dead bodies can wear down even the most hardened character (originally presented in Mystic #12). Then, in a story by Brown and Gantz, a vain super-celebrity despises his public and wishes for nothing more than to be left "Alone!" Through an odd quirk of fate, he gets his wish but in a twisted way that could drive any man insane (originally published in Weird Worlds #9).

Next, Gene Colan illustrates the story of a cub reporter needled by a whip-cracking editor to the point of murder in "Stop the Presses!" (first published in Mystic #12). Only a cruel boss like Cy Ubert would order a reporter into a burning building to interview the victims of a fire. Finally, a time capsule set to buried and not re-opened for 1,000 years provided the perfect solution for the henpecked husband saddled with "The Gal Who Talked Too Much!" (first presented in Uncanny Tales #7). A little side-deal with the scientist running the project puts Simon Graves on easy street or so he thought.
