THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #200 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor (1962) #200
"Beware! If This Be...Ragnarok!" was written by Stan Lee and drawn by John Buscema and John Verpooten. Forward and afterward written by Gerry Conway. In the Norse mythology, Ragnarok is akin to the Apocalypse in the Christian tradition. It's the end of the world no matter how you spell it. And when the end times come, the true character of men and women becomes apparent in the face of certain doom.

Summoned to Odin's side, both Thor and Loki are ordered to stand silent while Volla the prophetess reveals the origins of Ragnarok, otherwise known as the Twilight of the Gods. Even though he is the God of Mischief and Evil, Loki refuses to believe his foretold role in bringing about the destruction of Asgard. But the Thunder God, in contrast, is shown to be a champion and a fighter to the end, battling the massive Midgard Serpent to the bitter end. Armed with this terrible knowledge, the gods are struck dumb with awe and wonder!
