TALES TO ASTONISH (1959) (#1-21 ATLAS, #22-101 MARVEL) #73 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Tales to Astonish #73
Script by Stan Lee pencils by Adam Austin inks by Vince Colletta.
Two mind-blowing tales from the Marvel House of Ideas and its patriarch Stan Lee! To kick things off, Prince Namor of Atlantis fights against the wonders of the deep to complete his quest to find the Trident of Lord Neptune. Along the way, the mighty Sub-Mariner falls prey to the Diamonds of Doom and the mighty demon that guards them. Meanwhile, Namor's beloved, Lady Dorma, is menaced by the Faceless Ones and Warlord Krang sits upon his princely throne. Revolution's in the air, but will Namor choose love over duty? Legendary artist Gene Colan's dynamically realistic pencils are clearly seen despite his drawing under the pseudonym Adam Austin.

Written by Stan Lee pencils by Jack Kirby inks by Bob Powell
In the second story, "Another World, Another Foe!" the incredible Hulk temporarily has the benefit of his alter ego Bruce Banner's intellect, but he does not dare allow himself to revert to Banner's form for fear that a bullet lodged in his skull will kill him. That fear puts him at the mercy of the gamma-spawned evil genius known as the Leader. In exchange for saving the Hulk's life, the Leader gives him a quest: Penetrate the lair of the mysterious Watcher and return with the Ultimate Machine, a device that can magnify human intellect to godlike levels. The Watcher is sworn not to interfere, but the Hulk soon finds that someone else, also very powerful, seeks the same prize. Bobby Powell's art over Jack Kirby's layouts depict a human-looking Hulk caught in a mad scheme that takes him to fantastic alien locales.
