Plot Synopsis: Amazing Spider-Man #268
Continuing the saga of "Secret Wars II." -- "This Gold is Mine" is written by Tom DeFalco and drawn by Ron Frenz. The Beyonder, a being of immeasurable power from another universe, has come to Earth to experience humanity. However, being so child-like in his discovery, he can't help but wreak havoc wherever he goes with his overreactions. Such is the case here when the Beyonder turns an entire skyscraper into pure gold when he finds out what he thinks humans desire most financial wealth.

Reacting quickly to head off worldwide economic disaster brought on by so much gold being dumped into the market, the U.S. government sends in national security adviser Anderson. After rescuing workers from the collapsing, solid-gold building, our favorite wall-crawler gets some much-needed rest and contemplates keeping a gold memo pad, worth a substantial amount. Unfortunately, the Kingpin's network uncovers the gold building and Wilson Fisk manages to get his chubby hand in. It all climaxes at sea where the Navy is sinking trillions of dollars of gold into a deep ocean trench. Don't miss this one!
