SHADOW (1973) (#1-12) (DC) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Shadow (1973) #2
"Freak Show Murders" is written by Denny O'Neil and drawn by Mike Kaluta. Once again the Shadow enters the underworld to foil the plans of a murderer. When investor Steve Kilroy arranges to buy a statue of rare Alumite, the seller is gunned down by an assailant dressed like a harlequin. Kilroy escapes and goes into hiding. But the Shadow suspects where he and the killer have gone.

Our hero sends the lovely Margo Lane in to a local circus to infiltrate the company of performers. Taking on the identity of Spidora, the insect-woman, Margo meets Benzare, the knife-thrower; Nicco, the smoker; Damon and Pythias, the Siamese twins; Alhambra, the snake-woman; Pachini, the tattooed man; Ajax, the wild man and Pop Sorber, the ringleader. But none of these "freaks" are what they seem and the Shadow finds homicide under the Big Top.
