Plot Synopsis: Seven Soldiers: Guardian (2005) #4
Final issue. "Sex Secrets of the Newsboy Army!" is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Cameron Stewart. Jake wants out from under the helmet of the Manhattan Guardian. But Ed, the publisher of the Manhattan Guardian newspaper, wants to talk him out of it. In an extended flashback, Ed (who is trapped in the body of an infant) recounts his early days as Baby Brain, one of the Newsboy Army, a precocious group of young adventurers who fought macabre menaces in the 1940s and 1950s.

The Newsboy Army had a great run of successes until they ran afoul of the Sheeda, evil faerie folk who controlled and destroyed the life of their brawny protector Mr. Colley. The plucky kids trace the Sheeda back to Slaughter Swamp and encounter their true enemy! This shocking discovery leads to the dissolution of the Newsboy army and provides a clue to the modern-day menace that is closing in on the Manhattan Guardian. Even if Jake is serious about quitting, how can he when it's his life as well as Baby Brain's is on the line?
