RED CIRCLE: WEB (2009) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Red Circle: Web (2009) #1
"The Web" is written by J. Michael Straczynski and drawn by Roger Robinson and Hillary Barta. John Raymond is a multi-millionaire who has everything anyone would want: a jet-setting lifestyle, beautiful women calling him day and night, nearly infinite resources and lots of really cool high-tech toys. What John doesn't have is a functioning family, however, and he has to contend with a greedy, conniving uncle and a seemingly saintly, altruistic brother David. The old adage of it being lonely at the top certainly applies to John, who has no one who can share his unique perspective.

However, as the green and gold garbed Web, John has reached out to the world in a very extravagant way to give back some of the blessings that life has given him. He builds his reputation quickly, using his super-suit's speed, strength and flight abilities to rescue the victims of disaster and calamity, battle muggers and right wrongs overlooked by the traditional law enforcement. The Web hijacks television and computer broadcasts to "advertise" his services and uses a well-masked Internet link to process the many requests he gets. But when his own brother, David, becomes the victim of an assassin hired by a loan shark, John realizes the battle against injustice can become a very personal one indeed.
