RAWHIDE KID (1955) (#1-151) (MARVEL) #55 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Rawhide Kid (1955) #55
"The Plunderers!" is written and drawn by Larry Lieber with inks by Vince Colletta. Life on the western plains is lonely and friendless for an outlaw on the run. The Rawhide Kid knows very well the price for dropping his guard even for a moment. But when an elderly rancher, his lovely daughter and young son get the drop on the Kid, hoping to turn him in for the reward and pay off the loan on their ranch, the Kid can be forgiven for not seeing it coming. However, the greedy land-baron who holds the old rancher's paper doesn't want him to pay off what he owes and sends his thugs to make sure no reward is forthcoming, hoping to force the man into selling his land.

Although the Kid is arrested he can't be held however as there's no warrant for his capture in this part of the territory and our hero goes free. But sensing the old rancher and his family may be in trouble, the Rawhide Kid rides out to their spread and helps them fight off the greedy land-baron and his killer gang! Then, a gunfighter and his pacifist brother struggle to come to terms with life in the wild, wild west "With Gun in Hand!" (drawn by Don Heck and originally presented in Rawhide Kid #17).
