POWER MAN/IRON FIST (LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN #1-49) (1972) #11 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Power Man/Iron Fist #11
"Where There's Life ...!" is written by Steve Englehart and drawn by George Tuska and Billy Graham. Sometimes on the mean streets of Harlem, a man's luck is all he's got going for him. But for Luke Cage, luck is about run out. All of his good fortune has been taken up by Senor Suerte, the gambling boss who plays games of life and death. When we join the story, Senor Suerte has got Luke chained to the floor of a waterfront tunnel that is filling up with the tide. Steel-hard skin doesn't do a man much good when there's nothing but water to breathe. Leaving Cage to die, Senor Suerte returns to his high-rolling lifestyle, confident he's seen the last of our hero.

But Luke Cage was never a man to give up and exerting all of his steely strength he eventually yanks the chain from the concrete and is freed. Senor Suerte, in the meantime, has accompanied his goon squad to a rival casino owner's establishment to make sure no competition gets started in his turf. With a sense of drama all his own and a twist of the roulette wheel on his fancy red costume, Senor Suerte becomes Senor Muerte and sends his rival to his doom with a deadly electric shock handshake. Back on the streets, Cage gets Flea the snitch to steer him to where the murderous mobster lives. But because Flea can't be trusted, Cage walks right into a trap; one loaded down with razor sharp cards and slot machine coins and tumbling dice the size of Buicks!
