Plot Synopsis: Marvels Project (2009) #6
Written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Steve Epting. Cover by Epting, Gerald Patel, Steve McNiven and Justin Ponsor. The year 1940 saw Hitler mobilizing his forces across Europe, conquering nation after nation in a blood-lust fueled frenzy. And while human troops marched over the innocence and peace of hundreds of villages and towns, inhuman forces were being created in secret Nazi labs. At the forefront of these monstrosities is the hideous Red Skull whose cruelty is matched only by Der Fuehrer himself. Witness to his unique brand of evil is Private John Steele, an American with bulletproof skin, who waits for his chance to stop the Skull's murder spree.

Meanwhile, back in the states, the savage Sub-Mariner roams the streets of New York looking for a rematch with the fiery android he faced weeks before. And soon enough he finds the Human Torch and engages him in combat royal high above the skyscrapers. But this time, it's not just the Torch Namor faces, it's also the newly minted super-soldier known as Captain America. And as the avenging prince floods the streets of Manhattan, a whole host of mystery men rush into action to save the innocent. Watch out Axis, here come the Angel, the Patriot, the Thin Man, the Phantom Reporter, the Fiery Mask and Electro the Robot!
