MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) (#1-150) (MARVEL) #22 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Marvel Team-Up (1972) #22
Featuring Spider-Man and Hawkeye. Quasimodo appearance. Cover by John Romita, Sr. "The Messiah Machine!" is written by Len Wein and drawn by Sal Buscema and Frank Giacoia. Our story begins with everyone's favorite wall-crawler swinging through the city with uncharacteristic carefree abandon. But his reverie is soon interrupted by an arrow shot through his patented web-line by none other than the ex-Avenger, ex-Defender called Hawkeye.

The swashbuckling archer explains that he was just trying to get Spidey's attention and to beg his help in breaking up a ring of robotic electronics thieves. Despite the rude introduction, old Webhead agrees to follow Hawkeye back to the robots' lair, a spooky mansion in Westchester. There, our super-heroic pair get ambushed and captured by the automatons and brought before their master, the super-intelligent thinking machine known as Quasimodo. Can our heroes stop the hunchback android before he takes over every electronic device in America?
