MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) (#1-150) (MARVEL) #103 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Marvel Team-Up (1972) #103
Starring Spider-Man and Ant-Man. "The Assassin Academy" is written by Dave Michelinie and drawn by Jerry Bingham and Mike Esposito. Scott Lang is an ex-con and new superhero, hoping to fill the tiny (but legendary) shoes of Hank Pym as the new Ant-Man. He's also a single father, hoping to raise his nine-year old daughter Cassie without her finding out he's a costumed adventurer. Sometimes, Scott's past and present collide however, such as when an old prison buddy Gus Sweezer shows up on his doorstep with a proposition: come with him to join a group of ex-cons training to be super-villain lackeys.

When Scott refuses, Gus leaves amicably but is almost immediately run down in the street for revealing the school for killers. When Peter Parker is put on assignment by the Daily Bugle to photograph why one crime-ridden section of lower Manhattan has suddenly become trouble-free, he discovers the villainous academy nearly at the same time as the new Ant-Man, looking into his pal's murder. Going in first as Spider-Man, the wallcrawler quickly falls to the photographic reflexes of the academy's master–the Taskmaster. With the ability to copy any physical skill he witnesses, the Taskmaster is a formidable foe and even faced down the Avengers (issue #196). Can Spider-Man and Ant-Man stop him from stealing a nuclear weapon and spreading his unique brand of evil?
