INVADERS (1975) (#1-41) (MARVEL) #26 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Invaders (1975) #26
Cover by Gil Kane. "Day of Infamy...Day of Shame!" is written by Roy Thomas with art by Frank Robbins and Frank Springer. Following the brazen attack by Imperial Japanese on the U.S. Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, hundreds of Japanese-Americans were rounded up by the military and placed in Relocation Centers for fear that they might be spies or saboteurs. Captain America's young partner, Bucky, gets to witness that travesty of justice first-hand as he searches for a Japanese-American surgeon who can save Toro's life from a bullet lodged near his heart.

Unfortunately for Bucky and Toro, the doctor he seeks is also the target of the weird menace known as Agent Axis, an amalgamation of three fascists - one Italian, one Japanese and one German. With his wondrous earth-drilling vehicle, Agent Axis obsconds with the physician, his beautiful daughter and Bucky. Meanwhile, Cap, the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, Spitfire and Union Jack meet the new Mighty Destroyer!
